Dear spacefriends

A year or so ago, I started a backlog of little things. At its highest point, it had 300-400 small features; some awesome, some of dubious quality. With two little things releases at the start of the year and more coming this winter, we've churned through the top layer of them. They were prioritized in terms of quality, and we're simply so deep into this list that I'm running into more and more stories that just aren't worth it.

That tells me it's time to throw the list out and start making a new one. That's what this thread is for. Hand me your grips and feature requests and I'll prioritize them on my list.

Go!

Please improve the process of accessing of cans which are housed inside a POS corp hanger, it is stupid to have to fly first to the ship maintenance array swop to a ship which has the capacity to hold your selected can, move the can into that ships cargo bay, open the can, hope you have enough space left in your hold to move the Item(s) from can to main cargo hold, put the can back into the corp hanger, then jet can the newly chosen items, then swop back to the ship to the original ship you wanted to fit those things to, then swop items around using ship maintenance array`s fitting service then reverse the proceedure to put unwanted items back in storage. I mean, come on guys! go try it for your selves. Its a right pain in the ass and so totally process unecessary, Cans should be able to be opened by the Can owner direclty in the corp hanger, as long as you first have access rights to the given hanger, and then the can`s security password to open the can and unlock item to access, pwd if required. it should also reduce your database calls.

Some things that I spend a TON of time/clicks doing, that I don't want to (ie: It feels GOOD to want):

Put a strip at the top of the screen (or bottom) to allow me to show information I'm interested in, real-time updated (about the same # of pixels as the HUD directional target icons that frame the screen, but probably customizable).
- Standing for a selected faction. I can't tell you how much time I spend opening 3 dialogs just to get at this information. Hover-over drop-down to indicate the last % increase/decrease.
- Current ISK
- Number of outstanding S&I jobs (and hovering over it drops down detailed info, which should be configurable)
- Mission status. Show a # for missions in the journal, hover drop-down with: Status (Offered, Completed, etc) and Objectives
- Set locations on a hover-over dropdown to quickly be able to say "set destination" to my current mission hub (or a trade hub, or wherever I want) Display by default the # of jumps from the top destination in the list (or last selected or something)
- Last bounty payout. I find this is fascinating to me, and I am constantly opening the wallet then hitting Load, to see it.
- Lots of other things here I haven't thought of yet. I mean ideally there would be a configuration utility with a ton of information that I can choose from to display at-a-glance HUD-style.
[/list]

Tooltips! Show information about an item (customizable what to show) without having to CONSTANTLY (omg) click "Show Info". If I have something "similar" fitted, show me the difference.

Customize what is displayed in the Show Info dialog:
- Instead of tabs, have a Tree view (and remember which things are expanded/collapsed). I am constantly bouncing back/forth between tabs and it is OMG frustrating after a while.
- Be able to remove things that I don't care about right now. Entire categories, AND details within categories.
- When showing attributes about an item, show the base attribute and then in () or {} or [] or something show my skill/fit-adjusted value

Compare tool. Seriously? I have yet to figure out what magic defines what I can drag/drop into there and when, but it is amazingly frustrating. I want to right-click an item and say "compare" and then drag ANY OTHER item into there and have it show up as a row. I want to multi-select things from the market (or cargo, or hanger, etc), right-click and say "compare". I want to ALWAYS show the meta level as a column, sorted by that, so I don't have to CONSTANTLY do that OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Ok sorry, this is just very frustrating.

Looting. A hotkey that loots everything from my current target. Right now it's 2 clicks at different places in the UI, and it's laggy, and annoying as hell.

How about better sorting options in the Agent's tab in the People/Plances Menu. All the agents at this time are just thrown in a jumbled folder. It would be nice to be able to sort agents by their characteristics (similar to the Agent Finder). Here are some characteristics that would be nice to sort agent's by

Faction
Corp
Standing
Jump Distance
System Security Status
Last Completed Mission
Last Offered Mission

here's a thought.... wrecks arent individual wrecks anymore. Dropped items are added to a wreck pool.

so when that ship does go boom, and the hull is torn apart and scattered everywhere all its expensive stuff isnt neatly bunched together in a really obvious loot whoring target.

itd work something like this: you'd approach a wreck on the field after an epic fight where tons of **** blew up all around the grid. when u open it, it displays a random grouping of modules pulled from the loot pool.

the wreck wouldnt have a name like amarr elite BS wreck, it would all be generic small/med/large/capital wrecks.

so you'd say have 15 wrecks on a grid, when u open it, it displays a random group of loot from the wreck pool. obviously some cap mods cant fit into some ships so certain mods like cap mods and other things like that would only appear in cap wrecks.

BUT the essence of this is although certain mods will still only be in some specific wrecks, other smaller mods will act like they scatter in explosions like debris would in a debris field.

thanks for your like Sunrise Aigele =)

Nice concept and probably quite true in RL physics, however I think every extra wreck that would be required multiplied by all the ships being shot up in EVE at any given time would increase the server database burden too much IMHO.

I would like to see an absolute bare minimum Fitting screen option added. So it just shows;
-module slots in a compact row/s
-CPU/PG as in number
-cargo/drone hold buttons
- and maybe some other info as text and a button to change the fitting screen mode ofcourse.

When im docked actually fitting a ship, dragging modules onto the fitting screen, buying in market, opening corp hangers, station hangers, containers. The screen gets full fast and theres a lot of over lap. Having the fitting screen as small as possible would be a big help.

Can we have a "Warp Drive Malfunction" voice when our ships try to warp off, but can't because we are being scrambled?

Just a little thing that has always bugged me as a trader and hauler. If I dock in a station that has inventory and transfer the inventory to my cargohold, the Personal Assets window still shows the original amount of inventory items and not the NEW adjusted empty items count

Cool idea, so simple to code in surely.

The idea definitely got my vote

I would like to propose an addition free cargo amount to the Cargo window.

Presumably as small pop-up when you mouse-over the cargo bar in the top right corner.

Pros:

-Fast
-Easy to implement
-Would please a lot of people

Cons:

-None?
-Precious time taken from other projects.

More configurable CSPA charge. I tend to keep it as zero for fleeting purposes but the recent mass-mailing made me think that it could be improved.

Couldn't we set the charge per personal standings level, action (mail / convo / fleet...) or even on person to person basis if needed. Or if it's a mass-mail not coming from a mailing list.

This post was rated "C" for capsuleer.

A way to know if one of my market orders have sold out. I am having problems with knowing when someone bought all of my stock and I need to go get more or make more. One way to do this is to have an option that leaves the market order quantity to say 0 in the "my orders" window. This way I can quickly sort by quantity and see if anything needs to be refilled.

Please can you activate the existing option to name POS ITEMS it is not necessary to alter say the weapons Name Type just to be able to put a corps in house prefix name to it, (max 6 chars long) it should show up in the POS management screen and on the module; and could take the form of "BEN" Large Laser Battery or No1. No2. Cruise MIssile Battery this would be useful for POS gunner teams who can be allocated specific weapon groups. especially in a multi weapon and multi damage type setup.
also keeping it to max 6 chars would reduce obscene naming, and avoid over crowding the relevent widows.

Put all the shuttles under a single market group. This will save me a half-dozen clicks as I go through each race and try to figure out the cheapest shuttle, rather than being able to have a simple scrolling affair through a group screen to figure out the same thing.

Rearrange the default tab order on the market details screen: for sell orders, it should be:
Jumps (ascending)
Price (ascending)

So that the top of the screen is the cheapest one in station.

For buy orders, you want simply:
Price (descending)

So that the top of the screen is the highest-priced buy order; since there's not an "applicability due to range" column, this is the closest you can get to seeing to what order(s) you would be selling if you did an immediate sell order right now.

As per my dev poking thread, when you press Browse on the fitting screen it should go directly to fittings for the ship type you're in.

I would love if we could have the option for two different map buttons in the neocom one for solar system, and one for galactic. I find whenever I launch the map it's always in the wrong state that I need it for and since I keep the map options window minimized I find I'm clicking a lot to open the right map type.

Remember my settings
When choosing a facility and selecting the range, it defaults to 'blueprint's current location'. This needs to remember the last setting.

EDIT:
You guys fixed the settings so they remember at least the range. Thank you thank you thank you! If there is a section in the forums to praise CCP let me know where it is and I'll thank you some more.

Also, when copying, manufacturing, etc. The window should remember the counts. (copies, runs, etc).

Multi-Install
People have asked for it, but here is an idea how it could be done. When multiple blueprints are selected, the right-click menu gives you the option to 'manufacture, invent, etc'. Choosing one will begin a modal process for installing the job, and when it is complete, the next one in the list will pop-up. An additional feature could be added which would repeat the same task for all blueprints of the same type, within the selection.

Pick the obvious slot
By double-clicking a facility, it should automatically pick the shortest wait time. 99% of the time players just want the fastest job, why do they have to pick it manually? I realize that this is done to try to avoid conflicts whereby two players pick the same slot. To rectify the situation, when a player clicks install, if the slot they have (no wait) is taken, and a slot (no wait) is available, the available slot is selected in the background. If the next fastest job has a wait time, the standard 'that queue has a wait time of X, are you sure?' dialog appears. If yes, the job tries to install. If in that short time the slot was taken again, the dialog appears and a loop continues until the user cancels or finds an empty slot.

If you combine these functionalities, the multi-install could install in the same facility, and the auto-selector could pick the right slot, and thus you'd just have a few dialog boxes pop up to confirm each job with a wait time, and be done with it.

It seems to me that the automation is lacking because of the complexity of the problem. I am a programmer and understand the issue of multiple users trying to gain access to the same resources simultaneously. Having the clients duke it out manually is not a good solution. The drawback to these changes is that installing jobs becomes less time consuming, and therefore can be more profitable.

It can also affect the market, simple big jobs generally yield little payoff (eg. battleship production) whereas intensive jobs with multiple steps (eg. small t2 modules) require lots of micromanagement.

At least go through with the first change, it's simple and consistent with all other windows in EVE. Multi-install is not too difficult, just loop through items which are blueprints and open the dialog over and over. The auto-select is a bit tricky but you have some smart people over there!

Keep up the good work, I'm loving what you guys have done.

Can it be posible to add a cycle timer to pos? you know, to be able to turn on/off modules and not skip a production cycle.
