I have to give a lot of props to Marmite and its member base. The "stigma" in high-sec these days is to never lose your ship no matter what. This has lead to massive blue donuts, inflated killboards, premature ego's, and bad fights. Today I'd like to show my respect to Marmite and thank them for continuing to undock even after losing multiple ships.

When I was an active mercenary in high-sec I too echoed the narrative to strive for a 100% efficient killboard and a flawless war history to get more contracts. Having flown with some of the best pilots in Eve in all security spaces I honestly regret having not lived a little more when I flew in high-sec. Instead of taking fun fights I took guaranteed fights. Instead of taking outnumbered fights I waited for more members to come online.

With this said and have been a mercenary all of these years the one key thing I've learned is this; fulfilling the contract is priority number 1. Everything else? Waste of time......... No one truly cares about the killboard..... or how long you made the enemies wait for you to undock.....

Who knows one day we may even see the skillpoint caps removed from the big names in highsec merc work? Big smile. One can dream

There is that one mercenary alliance who doesn't give a **** about the killboard, and has no concern about skillpoints... trying to remember their name..... oh right... Short Bus Mercenaries.. Thats the one.

You have no skill cap? The hell haven't you advertised that before I've had many realitve newbies ask and I just didn't know there was one operating... I'll be sure to keep that in mind from now on

Jonah's a good guy though...and he doesn't complain because he understands the game he decided to play. Smile

Seriously, he sits in a station trading or moving things in a freighter while being on a no-gank blue list and does not do PvP which is the game of Eve if I am not mistaken, but because he brown noses certain people and trolls others with a differing view and suggests that they fight when he does not have the balls to do himself, you say he is a good guy who understands the game. You set your bar very low I have to say.

Anyway I came here to say this not sneer at Kaely sucking up to a brown noser...,

Shout out to Marmite for going for it.

When the going gets tough the Gankers get their CSM rep to change mechanics in their favour.

Wow, the only thing that's even close to the truth in this little love letter is that I don't willing engage in ship to ship PvP, discretion being the better part of valour.

You know, I really didnt want to get involved in this argument regarding ap0phis, however, I would like to interject here. You say that he was told to jump, and shoot all FF jumping the gate... I mean that sounds good and all.... but what do you think the odds are of a battleship actually catching cruisers on the other side? I mean, the warp disruptor, and webs might actually hold something, but I must point out the lack of sensor boosters..... which invalidates your statement Tora. Completely.

I'd keep an eye on it, Tora. Ap0ph is known to Fly Fearless to run from fights, even if it means leaving others behind. HOWEVER - I'll grant that it's only our perspective. We naturally don't stoop so low as to drop spies in Marmite, so we're not on your comms, and can't be sure.

Three Basic Rules of War

a. Keep head down in shitt fight.

b. Never march on Russia in winter.

c. Don't argue logic with Vlad.

C&P is the Front Bar, General Discussion is the Ladies Lounge ( Noragen can explain the Culture of the Oz pub ), you are wasted in the Lounge Vlad. When I say wasted I don't mean pissed as a newt.Big smile
