The issue for (solo) highsec / PVE players like you is that it is hard for CCP the reach out to other players who enjoy the same playstyle as you. While you are very active on the forums you are also the exception to the rule. Most of the players who are the target group for the candidates you voted for simply don't bother much with the forums / other media and even ingame notifications isn't enough. CCP is trying to do what they can but it is really hard to reach out to individual players. Especially when you compare it to how null blocs tells / forces their players to vote their candidates.



Suitonia is probably the best of the ones elected when it comes to pvp. He got an indept knowledge of pvp mechanics and has already provided a huge ammount of feedback and analysis. He may be biased towards small scale pvp but there are plenty of nullsec bloc CSM members to pull in the other direction.

I did. But since I didn't put in any effort to know the candidates, I followed mostly the ballot of someone who did.

DMC the CSM members matter little, CCP has a persistent vision for how they want us to play their game and the mere fact that most paying members choose another style of game play can not and has not dissuaded them from it.

The glaring fact that most players are in high sec is something CCP does not want and stubbornly will not accept, they think those paying players are just not understanding the big fun they are missing by not being a part of the massive battles that generate such positive press coverage for CCP.


I attribute it to an Icelandic blindspot, these guys are from viking stock and can not accept that given an opportunity to raid and pillage we'd want to mine, trade, explore, build and invent. They think we are nuts and are now hell bent upon finding new ways to feed us to players who want targets in high sec because that is where the most players are.

Putting reasonable people on the CSM will not change CCP's basic attitude towards the majority of paying subscribers which is
"You must play as we want you to, not as you choose to!".

who even cares about the council of opinion management? it's just a focus group for opinions. they aren't even remotely as important as most people make it out to be. especially the "vote or die" people. CCP does not care about what is important, only money. the only purpose of the CSM is to express opinions in the presence of and with the attention of CCP. actual influence comes from CCP management.

tl;dr quit fussing about CSM stuff, it's obsolete.
