Out of Pod Experience

WoWs is a continuous tragedy of the commons. Since allowing people to band together would kill the game as uberteams made the game unenjoyable to everybody, WG just has gone to the "everybody ends up in sh*t team" road. It's amazing how even at Tier X, some players still can't grasp the essentials and you see them turning and exposing their broadside to use the third turret in a BB. That's cool whe they're red, but too often you're just watching the game after death and see that bloody stupid cost points to the team for nothing...


PS: celebrating my 43rd birthday snipe! (well, technically I was born around 5 AM, but it's March 31st already)

Happy Birthday Ind.....I mean Yiole.

Anyway it's been a good birthday day. For some years now, I take them as both a celebration to have lived / endured yet another year, and a chance to look back. Today I've celebrated more than i've looked back, I'm not in a cheerful mood lately so why bother with potential sad memoirs...

And now it's beddy time for Yiole and Indah and Ishtanchuk and the Focks and Lea-Marie and Succus and Twinkle and others, either in EVE and elsewhere, all the characters I've created and developed in different universes for different purposes, since I was like 7 or 8...

Everybody is competitive on his own grounds. I'm a creative story-loomer, just I never capture those stories... There's always more shiny stories where they come from, and stories are just a small part of the continuous creative storm that is the way in which my brain works. I might not know or experience whatever drives people to *do* things (yes, you have it; and no, I don't), but as a compensation, I have more ideas in a week than most people will have in a lifetime.

And now look at the clock... so late and tomorrow I gotta go work.

But this defeats the purpose of gaming! You could watch some stream in this time and it would be the same essentially, only maybe even better when human fails something. Games are not meant to be playing itself, of course not those intended to be played by other players too. You could construct a game with wholly AI driven universe and see when it goes from this point, for research purposes, but bots should not be included in these kinds of games when you sit and play them and they require player input. Its unfair and I hope CCP and other companies will not allow bots to play their games. 😰



I try to capture some idea if I feel its worth it. Mainly to share them further when I like them. I know it was probably already though out by someone in the world, but maybe he did not capture it and I would be first. \o/

But of course some ideas are not for everybody, and you would share them only in intimacy.
