I was starting playing EVE because of the relaxing factor. Space, flying spaceships, exploration, avatar stuff. Before that I used to play mainly action RPG's, shooters and other twitch gameplay based games. Street fighter made me jump on my chair so much I broke one Pirate. Now I can sleep while mining away rocks, to then buy some shiny avatar stuff on market. People are talking about EVE being PvP game, but for me its what I make out of it.

When I really need some adrenaline and big amount of ISK again, I jump into low sec and farm DED sites. EVE can be so different sometimes, Its enough of difference to not bore me.

if you were on our slack you'd've had a chance to be mentioned. but I'm sorry to say you're not important enough. Cool

Yeah, sorry man.

Unfortunately we're here in LAGL thread which is basically viewed as a room location. Nana Skalski started 'The Wave' with "EVE foreva! \o/ LAGL foreva! \o/", I then rode 'The Wave' with "Nana Skalski foreva! \o/" and then you caught 'The Wave' with "Tilde Duchateau foreva! \o/" which basically caused 'The Wave' to crash.

Cry

Like I said, maybe next time we can make 'The Wave' go all around the room and end back with the person who started it.

Blink

So now 'The Wave' has sorta made it back around to where it started. Well, except for the fact that Nana Skalski and I both posted twice. Basically 'The Wave' should go around with everyone posting it and then Nana Skalski would end 'The Wave' with the same thing that started it :

EVE foreva! \o/

LAGL foreva! \o/

Anyway, hopefully I explained it correctly.

Well the KM BBs only get better and more fun from Konig and up. Mmmm those secondaries. Big smile

Also as for being good in WoWs, its mostly all about map awareness and your positioning from my experience, when you know where to be and when to be there you will generally do pretty well.

Well most of my deaths follow the same script, "focuses on attacking and is left behind and alone". Once I engage, I begin tracking reds and next thing I know is every blue is 10 kilometers away, running away like sissies, and I must either turn around and expose my broadside, or keep going forward and try to die as far and causing as much damage as possible. Ugh

I started EVE Online to bash NPCs and get a better ship to bash more NPCs, as I've done in every spaceship game I've played. I didn't knew how or what was PvP in EVE Online, just figured that at some point I would own a ship good enough, skills good enough and be confident enough to give a try to PvP. Meanwhile I would just stay clear from people who had been playing the game for years, knew everyhitng I didn't knew and acted as a-holes on local about their PvP victories on completely lesser targets, specially if there were many versus one target. I didn't wanted to be neither one of those jerks nor their target. Then it turned that NPCs could also totally ruin your day and cause terrible losses (i.e. kill my brand new, godawfully fit and unskilled Megathron in my first Level 4 and also first encounter with warp scramblers), so I called it a day with that character and started anew with a different character, Ishtanchuk.

But for years, I played EVE Online without understanding that everything that seemed wrong with it, was about me being the wrong player. Once I realized that, I tried to embrace my "wrongness" as I had become aware that a unseen and silent but real majority of EVE players are "wrong" players, but then it came Rubicon and CCP focused on developing the game exclusively for the right players and the realization that whether EVE tanked or floated, there wouldn't be a place for me in it. After 7 years and 1500 euros and thousands upon thousands of words, it was over.

It feels like banging your head on a wall until you realize it's a wall, then try to negotiate with it so it lets you make a small bump on the surface, then realize it's an effin wall and the only you can do about it is either leave it or blow it with dynamite. And frankly, I am not that crazy so I just left the wall...

...but I still come back and pee on it each now and then. Twisted

It's infuriating when people won't push a cap especially with ships that are amazing for close range engagements. Nothing worse than seeing BBs in the back 'sniping'. I'm very aggressive with ships that can handle close range brawls but sadly most others play it safe and set back and you get left alone.
