Also: robot-operated 3D printers... looks like this we're in the 21st century after all. Cool

Now only to allow it to design other robots that will design and print other robots. Lol

I was watching where SC is now, and I have seen a lot of doors lately, that can open. Seeing the one in CQ I am thinking, what did hold CCP from opening it, even if it would be just a multiplayer lobby with a table and galaxy map for corporation meetings and a bar downstairs? 😞

What did hold CCP? It was a mix of !!CCP!! (heaptons of broken stuff), CCP Zulu (delusions of grandeur), His Royal Highness the Reykjavik Art Team (who couldn't be arsed to develop avatar stuff since they had been hired to make spaceships you SOBs) and more !!CCP!! (ludicrously bad management of WoD).

CCP has been behind the power curve ever since Incarna. Even now that they're comitted to the Rubicon plan, the new space beyond player owned stargates which had to be delivered in 2016 has gone AWOL to be done sometime beyond the mists of 2020 at best. It's beyond ludicrous. It's CCP.

You know, if Elite: Dangerous delivers any kind of WiS with Horizons 2.4 (the mistery patch to end Season 2), I will laugh so hard... and weep for all the time, effort and hopes wasted in those idiots at Reykjavik. If it happens, you will find me (call it an informal appointment) at the Mikhail Gorbachov station at Terra, Sol system, having a drink at the bar. I'll be the (hopefully) short woman with the coppery skin, amazing black hair, almond eyes, a large but cute nose and (hopefully) sweet curves. You'll ask "Ishtanchuk? Is that you?" and I will say "yes, eventually we meet, in another universe, and certainly not thanks to those idiots in Reykjavik"

Then we will walk to the promenade and the observation deck and will see Terra pass under us (I'm daydreaming now, but carry with me) and we'll point at the island in the northern Atlantic where, 300 years ago, a small company of amateurs and incompetents managed to develop, for a short period of time, one of the freakiest videogames ever developed, some EVE Online.

And I will laugh.

you know, that seems like a sweet idea for a date Blink

Yamato epic: citadeling a Missouri from the fore, at a 75º angle and 6 km away. This is why I wanted those 460! With these guns it's just a matter of whether you'll hit or don't (projectiles are slow and sometimes feels like you need a calendar to estimate lead...) but whenever they hit, they HIT.

Also had one epic battle end, me alone vs 1 Umikaze 1 Gearing 1 North Carolina and 1 Minotaur... I kill the Umikaze with 2 hits from the turrets and plenty of secondaries, two minutes later kill the Gearing with the back turret as the N. Carolina passes by me, then I turn the fore guns on the Carolina and scatter its guts all over the ocean from 1 kilometer away, the first shots citadel it for 23k damage and the next ones just hit a dead body. Guy in chat goes "wow impressive!" and I earn a Double Kill.

Then the Minotaur, which had been hiding behind some islands, shows up, I chase it and learn too late that the Minotaur, on top of being a friggin' AP machinegun, also haves torpedoes. Roll His first salvo misses me but the second hits me in a by-the-book torpedo ambush and I lose my last 36k HP and the team losses the battle. But, I got a nice picture of it.

And now i say: nighties lovelies!

Such a good reboot of the archetypal space simulator. And I was afraid couple of years before it was announced, that we will never see the next Elite from Frontier. Pirate

It was Elite who inspired EVE. That's something EVE can not claim about other games.

What I like about the new camera suite is that the initial clunky interface was introduced as a compromise against the reluctance of "hardcore" players to have any outside views, but in the long term Frontier's need for a decent film making tool has prevailed as "hardcore" players have become less and less relevant in the growing demographics of the game.
