I was watching where SC is now, and I have seen a lot of doors lately, that can open. Seeing the one in CQ I am thinking, what did hold CCP from opening it, even if it would be just a multiplayer lobby with a table and galaxy map for corporation meetings and a bar downstairs? 😞

Given the fact that there was this video, which CCP had a proper quality version of it on their channel (emphasis on HAD, past tense), they just went "**** it, scrap the whole thing, we'll just release the one living room".

They had a prototype with a major amount of content for years, and they just scrapped it. seeing the fate of their Dust514 and World of Darkness projects doesn't paint a good picture about what CCP can do.

I'm so sick of how terribly they treat the USN which in reality would be more than competitive with all the other navies. What did hold CCP? It was a mix of !!CCP!! (heaptons of broken stuff), CCP Zulu (delusions of grandeur), His Royal Highness the Reykjavik Art Team (who couldn't be arsed to develop avatar stuff since they had been hired to make spaceships you SOBs) and more !!CCP!! (ludicrously bad management of WoD).

CCP has been behind the power curve ever since Incarna. Even now that they're comitted to the Rubicon plan, the new space beyond player owned stargates which had to be delivered in 2016 has gone AWOL to be done sometime beyond the mists of 2020 at best. It's beyond ludicrous. It's CCP.

You know, if Elite: Dangerous delivers any kind of WiS with Horizons 2.4 (the mistery patch to end Season 2), I will laugh so hard... and weep for all the time, effort and hopes wasted in those idiots at Reykjavik. If it happens, you will find me (call it an informal appointment) at the Mikhail Gorbachov station at Terra, Sol system, having a drink at the bar. I'll be the (hopefully) short woman with the coppery skin, amazing black hair, almond eyes, a large but cute nose and (hopefully) sweet curves. You'll ask "Ishtanchuk? Is that you?" and I will say "yes, eventually we meet, in another universe, and certainly not thanks to those idiots in Reykjavik"

Then we will walk to the promenade and the observation deck and will see Terra pass under us (I'm daydreaming now, but carry with me) and we'll point at the island in the northern Atlantic where, 300 years ago, a small company of amateurs and incompetents managed to develop, for a short period of time, one of the freakiest videogames ever developed, some EVE Online.

And I will laugh.

That's the curse of PvP games, in order to keep people engaged they shuffle aroudn the OP stuff. Now the fashionable are Kriegsmarine BBs because the Tier X haves the largest HP pool (obviously since it's a fictional ship based upon loose design specifications) and Bimarck's secondaries are a effin PITA at Teir VIII, and then the RN cruisers are completely breaking the smoke meta and the line ends with the AP machinegun called the Minotaur (which is amazing to have on your side and a godawful PITA otherwise).

But then, thinking about this is what leads to the bittervet. And I just bought the Yamato and sailed my fist 3 battles with it and intend to have some fun, then get back to non-Premium and start using the Mutsu to pay for the Yamato's upkeep (180,000 credits per battle, plus ammo...)

BTW, I too have noticed something funny with armor. I've killed at least three ships with only 1200 damage, and I have my doubts they were so badly beaten. Last one was a Bismarck I finished with the Izumo from the fore, he was in flames and had taken a beating but I'd say it had like 6k or 7k HP left when I fired on it and bang, kill, with 1200 damage. It felt odd. Also happened with two cruisers, that makes a bit more of sense, but if I could I would check whether they changed the section damage mechanic.

If they will add WiS, then I think there should be combat at least, with NPC pirates that you can rob of some money and stuff. Multiplayer even, so a friend could help you. \o/
