I too am color blind. It's making it so I can't probe scan due to not being able to locate what I'm scanning for. Sorry, it's hard to explain, but can't see things well enough to be able to scan properly.

Issue 1:
D-Scan won't open with Shortcut "V" anymore. Well, it isn't really an Issue, but why would you change that ? If there's a Reason im ok with that, but i don't see one at the Moment.
I always used "V", so that D-Scan opens up and does an instant scan. Now i need to hit Alt + D (Preferences -> Window -> Directional Scan) to open the D-Scan itself, and then hit "V" (Preferences -> Combat -> Directional Scan) to do continuous scans.

Issue 2:
If i am Combat Scanning, and there are, lets say, 300 Objects on my Probe Scanner, moving the Probes in that Windows lags like hell, Combat Scanning is now completely a nightmare. This Issue leads to Issue 3.

Issue 3:
First Probe Scan done, 15 Signatures on D-Scan. Ok, lets focus on one Signature, and scan that. Ooops, focussing a Signature by klicking on it in the Scan Window itself, doesn't hide all the others signatures anymore. Yeah, my complete Overview of the Probe Scanner is gone. Combined with Combat Scanning, and that lag when moving the drones, the experience of scanning boosts to a complete new Level :D

If i missed something about that Issues, or that Issues I experience are due to that i don't know how to use the new D-Scan properly, I'm happy if someone could help me out :)

Issue 4:
If the D-Scan and the Probe Scanner are integrated in the Map, and the Map is Docked to the left Side, centering on current position doesn't work properly.
Hard do describe, but lets say the Map is 50 wide, and the D-Scan and probe scanner are 15 wide.
So if i center on current position, the start Point of centering is correct, 15 Units away from left border, because there are the scanner windows, but the window in wich my point is still 50 wide, so the center point is a bit off to the right (the last 15 Units i dont see on the Map, because the Map ignores the 15 left Units of the D-Scan and Probe scanner.

Width of Map, in wich the point is centered should be => Max width of Map - Width of D-Scan/Probe Scanner
Now it is only Max width of map

Issue: New map window center pivot offset is effected by "Camera Center" setting.

When using multiple screens the "Camera Center" setting found in "Display & Graphics" -> "Camera Settings" is useful to move the default view pivot into a more convenient location. The new map window view pivot is also modified by this setting even if the map is in floating mode. This results in an off-center pivot impairs the usability and wastes screen real estate.

dscan windows appears to always be in focus, using number keys for anything always changes the the filters

please remove the stupid hotkkeys 1-0 on dscan, they are useless and now bugged

No, do not remove them! They are the fastest way to refrech anomalies. Just make it so that the only work if the window has focus like before.

The LOD system seems to be really messed up. The lighting goes screwball on ships if you zoom out a little. It looks like the lighting switches to the opposite side of the ship, or the ship just turns really dark. I submitted a bug report already but I thought I would post it here as well. I noticed some weird things before the patch but I think it's worse now.

i got the idea what you mean i have to play "spot the difference" by moving my client window between my two monitors which have slightly different color balance due to age difference order to find a single signature on the view.

as a wormhole resident who's supposed to scan on regular basis doing it on single signature is infuriating doing it on 10-15 signatures makes me want to abandon my primarily pacifist tendencies in real life.

Please make a way for the map window and the dscan window seperate or at least minimize the map size somehow. We need the room in WH space. Having a docking window with just he DSCAN/Scan button would be great, but that map is just blarge, huge.

Also remove that sound for scanning, WH'ers scan every 10 seconds when they need to do sites and pay attention. It's a bad noise. Make it removable/toggle fix it.

I always love it when a patch needs patching or is so bad it just screws a whole game up. Congrats Devs. I say this not based soley on comments above, but also because I can't see anything but black on my screen whether in station or out. Yep, flying blind means unable to play the game. Nice patch.

on two different orca pilots, ice harvesting drones do not mine repeatedly any more. after 1-7 cycles drones get lazy and stop working

changing dscan filters is extremely slow. in my current system i have about 500 objects and changing a filter makes my pc unresponsive for about 20 seconds

CCPlease ,

I know you are trying to be innovative and try cool things to keep the new kids happy, but please just explain to us why the Dscan/Probe Scanner options of Angle, Radius and Scan/Analyze are at the bottom of the Window below the list?
And then to jam it all into one Massive window to soak up more Screan Real estate just seems so damn impractical. I trust I am not the only one with this query
I mean you want to change from the Probe Scanner/ Dscan and change the angle/radius for each immediatly.
But thank you very much for the option to separate the Dscan and Probe launcher windows though, and even better, to use the old probe scanner.

Look, I know you will get a lot of rage mail, but just think about it.. IF IT WORKS, DON'T FIX OR CHANGE IT. IMPROVE ITIdea

Change the icons, that is fine, the Heartbeat sound effects of pressing the dscan is ok (just) , but please just bear with us, your customers who invest a lot of time playing your great game and streamline it rather than changing it into a impractical mess, especially for WH-space.

Why can't I instantly recall my probes after I launched them? This is possible in the old scanning system. In the new scanning system, I get a warning message telling me "Probes are at an unsafe incoming trajectory. 2000 meters needed for safe recovery". What kind of rubbish is this?

The directional scanner/probe scanner filters have hardcoded hotkeys to the number keys (1 through 0). They also do not respect the input focus, so if I press the 1 key because I've bound it to a module, it toggles both a probe scanner and a d-scan filter on or off.

This was a annoyance before the patch, now pretty much unplayable for anyone who binds the number keys to some other purpose.

Please make the d-scan and probe scanner filter hotkeys rebindable or unbindable!

I believe there is now a problem with the repair facilities in the Upwell Structures. It works for assembled ships, but you can't seem to repair modules or any item located in the hanger bay or the cargo hold. Assume this is a bug that needs fixing as that is different from the main-line stations.

posted this in general feedback too, but this is probably the right forum location.

One more thing...

I know it is great to have different shortcuts for fighters and drones but for the ones that are identical in command it makes little sense.

To be specific: you should be able to have the same shortcut for "launch drones" and "launch fighters" because you will never have both at the same time.

Suggest you merge the shortcuts for the items that are identical.

Is there a chance to get these huge pop-ups out of the way in the probe and dscan window? They often block functions. The only way I see now is putting the global delay for pop-ups on the highest setting.
