I'd rather land on planets with atmospheres first then get WiS for Elite.

Anyway one of my creations with the new character creator in Elite

Well, landing on planets with atmospheres is quite complex. Unless they exclude life-bearing planets at first, that is...

News: Nintendo Switch corners of the screen can be scratched just by putting it in and out its dock. Cheap plastic screen, 100% need screen protector.

About landing on planets with atmosphere. I once dreamed Elite has already a simulation cities on the surface of those current ones you can land on, there were buildings and roads and space cars driving on surface.

Just a demonstration of a working procedural cityscape tech.

"Cheap" was the overall impression I got from the Switch promotional video. I don't bet a lot neither on the life expectancy of the folding tab used in tabletop mode.

Well, it was fun while it lasted. CCP is terminating the agreement with NEXON on March 31st and that means that Japanese player will start being billed in USD directly by CCP and the EVE client will no longer be localized to Japanese afer release 119.03. That is very likely to terminate the Japanese community.

I never had eve localized to my language. Obviously killed my interest in the game from the start.

Hmm maybe if japanese people would play more english language PC MMOs, they would know more english.

For now they like their own final fantasies more I suppose.

Here is ranking what MMOs japanese gamers are playing.

Frontier: Elite II had cities and planets with atmospheres way back in the early 90's. Even had domed cities on certain planets.

Sad Why do they have to get rid of the localization though?

I played Frontier, but in retrospect, I never tried to land outside of a starport. The idea that there could be anything woth seeing was out of my mind...

Will they completely get rid of localized client? Hmm, that would be even sadder. But maybe they already calculated its not earning them any money already.
I think the whole deal is more about disappointing japanese market including NEXON unvillingness to do better than having Rubicon still as actual update on their site, and advertising the game as "This game is super hard".
