Question about Two factor authentication:

Not necessarily - please check EVEGate, and if that's overwritten already then you can get it from Singularity and we are still investigating what we can do.

Mine disappeared as soon as I logged in to Tranquillity, I didn't click on the bio option on the character sheet.

- Checked EVE Gate, it had gone from there too.
- Logged on to SiSi, didn't even open the character sheet, just right clicked -> show info on my character in local, the bio was gone there too.

I eventually managed to re-create it by googling "eve gate (character name)" then using the page preview snippets.

Luckily for me I work from home so was able to log in fairly early this morning and found out.



If this is still ongoing, or if you can recreate this issue please file a bug report in game.


As I said, I stopped the training on the other 2 characters and restarted on my main so unless it just starts happening again on it's own I'm afraid there isn't much further I can do to assist. It seems easy enough to resolve, I just imagine someone off on vaca or not logging in for a couple weeks coming back to find their alts training and their main doing nothing.

Okay, so if you didnt validate an email address what exactly is the course of action? I read the blog and when I try to log into that account I get the message about validating email and its been sent, but I havent gotten an email yet. Cant log into account obviously so asking. Thanks

Русскоязычный клиент вообще не работает у многих у кого была раньше включена двухэтапная проверка. Многие качают клиент заново переходя на английский. Обещали подарки - их нет.

Ребята, нам такие обновления не нужны.

You've then got to remember the next part of a url or quote etc. you used to see more Sad thankfully my bio was fairly short and I remembered the next few words of the quote, which then showed the rest when I googled it.

Actually you cannot get them from SiSi as that has now also been overwritten with Ascension as of today, the same thing happens upon logging in and the bio disappears

Wait: I play eve at home, and at lunch at work. I'll have to keep doing this authentication over and over?

Edit: When I tried to log in at work, I was NOT required to re-authenticate. Maybe the game remembers that this is a typical location for me? But I dread the day I go on vacation, with a loaner computer, as I cannot take my normal one out of the country.

Yeah you got lucky there, despite being a 2006 toon archive.org hasn't ever cached mine so unfortunately that won't work for everyone, glad you got yours back either way Smile

If you haven't validated your email, or if your account has the wrong email and you need to change it, you need to open a support ticket for CCP to help you out (make the change for you). Unfortunately, the support queue is probably extremely full right now, so you may have to wait a while.
