I must ask though. By the time the mercs had formed up, we had pretty much burnt down nearly all of PIRAT's pocos. Why turn up and fight when objective was already lost hours ago?

Also you seemed to have very mixed doctrine. Were each merc group fighting themselves or did you make unified effort during the fight?

Since I don't have a dog in this fight I can be honest about everything and lay it out.

To start out, Noragen Neirfallas of Rabble was a long time member of Marmite. Rightfully so the loyalty to his friends still exists therefore a line of communication probably existed. Since PIRAT and Marmite are always at war it makes sense for Marmite to indirectly assist. I'm not sure how it happened but I bet conversations were had.

In regards to Vendetta, from what I hear, they are happy killing freighters in Jita so I don't think much will change for their political landscape. Maybe the other mercs will see VMC didn't stand up for merc life and put them on "the list?" Who knows.

Knowing how a lot of these groups work and who makes up the majority of the member bases, I wouldn't be surprised if the formup took at least an hour or two. Say what you want but fighting in high-sec still requires scouting and theory crafting. Multiply this task by the ego's in the room and you're looking at a lot of tension which equates to delays. TLDR, I bet the fleet started to form when Ivy was scouted.

To add to what I said above about ego's, every merc group since the beginning of time has believed their ship fittings to be the hot new bizz never tried before. Trying to convince each group to all fit the same way would take a millennium. In my opinion it was said best on reddit; "Dear PIRAT, the rest of eve has already figured out tech 3's just steal their fits, because yours, well atleast I got my daily dose of humour." Now this has a lot of truth to it being t3 fits are pretty nonnegotiable on what works or is best but it's also not fair to PIRAT because they are a very good high sec merc group. They and the other merc groups deserve a lot of credit but yes there is room for change.

With all of this said I'll end on something I used to preach when I was in high-sec. Fighting carebears will make you weak.

To note: Don't get me started on Ivy League. We all know they aren't a new bro only entity so merc shooting a harmless entity is BS. They are a sanctuary....

#WhereWasVandetta?

Nah all my role play aside this is pretty accurate in regards to the difficulties of cross group forum ups especially among groups that don't typically work together often. I was surprised by how uniform the ships were if not the fits tbh.

With the fracturing of High-Sec Mercs of late I have actually wound up with close friends in literally every group but PIRAT and BAW. They all still shoot me though Pirate

They tried to make it unified in the small lapse of time they had to prepare
We also know that Tora broadcasted our FCs to you guys as he was on the station with his alt.

as for VMG, I think they lost credibility by not showing up, especially since they were paid to help.

Paid to help? We were not paid to help. Get ur facts straight. Roll

If you block/ ignore the leadership of VMG as Complaints(retards) Department did and then complain you didn't get help you've got no one to blame but your selves.
How about you play blues instead of playing reds to us for a change? Blink

Next time you want us to help; how about you contact leadership, use the mailbox if they're not online, or come on our comms to ask around. We won't bite, unless you do something silly (which seems to happen rather often).

There's a reason that Leadership asked us to block you.
I'm unaware of why, and I don't really think I want to inquire.

As for standings, they're not my choice to make (as I don't even care about setting/removing them either).

(I now think I know why they blocked you though, and I agree with them Cool)

Funny how you fail to reply about you lying about us being paid to help.

I believe the consensus with a few was that the merc groups had all been paid to help but you know what happens with Chinese whispers!

I don't think he was lying it was as I stated above, Your reply was a little aggressive and further to the comment about Communications between certain merc leadership I have to say that my personal experience when contacting your leadership regarding standings and some other issues gleaned a two word reply from your CEO so I understand what was stated previously and why it was said.

As to why VMG did not show even after they had been contacted so I am informed is down to their Leadership decisions and we should not judge them as to why but just remember when future ops are planned and hope that whatever issues there are can be ironed out.

Just remember that wars are never won on the first encounter and it is down to the last man standing at the end that matters.

Seeing as our leadership (khrom, tainted natural and me) just met on comms, noone has a mail or has been approached with any concrete plans or requests for any aid in a fleet fight. So no, we have not been formally approached to give a hand. P

i'll leave this topic at this; not going to keep repeating myself. We've had no formal requests for help in any fleetfight. Smile
