1. Overview filtering out unpiloted ships - It was on the CSM minutes but I do not recall what CCP thought about that suggestion

2. The ability to give medals to people outside your corporation to anyone you choose as long as they allow it.

3. Player version of the fitting tool that devs use for mass fitting.

4. Damage notification but for energy vamp and neutralizers so you know how much you are being drained or draining them, this is especially important for Energy Vampires since it will change unless you are in a Blood Raider faction ship.

5. Ships with refitting functionality like the Nestor or a carrier can open their refitting to anyone, standings based as well as fleet and corp based. The same could be done for Ship Maintenance Arrays that is assuming Citadels will allow that functionality without docking.

I have no idea if this has been suggested, but now we have multibuy can we have multifit. For example I buy 5 rifters plus fittings can I have a button that will fit them all.

Pretty please.

As mentioned here:

Tweaks to the ingame chat channel finder - like corp finder - so that people can list public channels and make them available to other players, and to allow people to search for them easily. Particularly for player language channels, but really all public channels being searchable would be handy (or a way to create adverts for them).

Also a way to integrate finding player channels into the NPE. I get the impression people tend to struggle with this early on.

My little thing I would like done: Buy/Sell orders: Enhancement request.

I am new to this forum so others might have ask for the following improvements to buy/sell orders already.

Order creation:

1) When you create a sell order, do not bug the person with a popup if within 1% of the lowest sell in region. This will cut down on spurious popups.

2) When you create a buy order, do not bug the person with a popup if within 1% of the highest buy in region. This will cut down on spurious popups.

3) When you create a sell order, PLEASE warn with a distinctive popup if 5 times or higher or lower than the lowest sell in region. This will help catch off by 1 digit errors.

4) When you create a buy order, PLEASE warn with a distinctive popup if 5 times or higher or lower than the highest buy in region. This will help catch off by 1 digit errors.

Order modification:

1) When you change the price of a buy/sell order by plus or minus 1% or less, do not bug the person with a popup. This will cut down on spurious popups.

2) When you change the price of a buy/sell order to more than 5 times higher (500%) or lower (20%) than it currently is, PLEASE warn with a distinctive popup. This will help catch off by 1 digit errors.

Order fulfillment:

1) If you attempt to buy an item for more than a current sell orders, just charge the lower amount. This will help ease the pain of an of by 1 digit error.

2) If you attempt to sell an item for less than a current buy order, just sell for the higher amount. This will help ease the pain of an of by 1 digit error.

3) If you attempt to create a buy/sell order and it is immediately fulfilled, do not change broker fee. This will cut down on the pain of having your buy/sell order time set when you just wanted to buy/sell something immediately.

If there has been another thread that has addressed these requests in the past, please point me to it.

Thanks!

New icons for bomb launchers and warp disruption field generators.

As of now, bomb launcher share icons with probe launchers and WDFGs share icons with regular warp disruptors. Variations on these icons already exist, why not make these unique? So I tossed up some mockups last night.

Bomb launcher:

The interdiction sphere launcher has a similar icon to the probe launcher, but has orange lights instead of blue. I propose red lights to differentiate them from the other two and to signify their threat level.

WDFG

Again, the Interdiction launcher is orange, so I propose making the WDFGs orange as well in order to tie these modules together as their primary functions are roughly similar.

While we're at it, a quick look at engineering modules reveals other things in need of new icons.

  • suggestion: synchronize gate cloak timer's disappearance with server confirmation [tick]
  • keywords: ui, modules, controls
  • note: see explanation below

(I'll refer to gate cloak timer as simply GCT)

Currently the GCT's implementation is purely client side and when the timer starts (or finishes) disappearing - it completely ignores if the user is still under the gate-cloak or not (for remaining - usually - few hundreds miliseconds depending on lag and time left to the next tick update).

Obvious example: you start to move manually or align (regardless of the actual reason - burning away/back from bubble, cloak/mwd trick, etc.); the moment you issue the command the timer disappears - but until the server confirms you actaully broke the gate cloak - you can only guess when you can use modules.

So the suggestion is: improve the GCT's behavior so it doesn't begin its short "disappear" animation until it receives confirmation from the server about the gate cloak actually being broken.

This is somewhat similar to my suggestion posted earlier in this thread - we're half way there as we already have the graphical indicator now. Let's make it work properly ?

My little things...

POS:
attempt to 'board' a ship in a SMA moves your ship into range of the SMA instead of a dumb 'notification', Like the 'open can' or double-clicking on a can commmand moves your ship towards the can you want to look in...

POD:
set Name and save FFS

Repackage:
have the [YES] button appear WHERE you selected 'repackage' instead of hunting it down with the mouse

Notifications:
clicking OK on an Insurance notification, sets the mail as "already read"

Sleeper SItes:
GODDAM Gas in sites not soo GODDAMN bright PLEASE!!! EDIT: Why?? Uh... I can sit a few thousand KM off of a SUN and look directly at it for hours... but a gas cloud in a sleeper site is so bright it overloads my screens????? Really????

Logistical Ships:
PLEASE PLEASE turrets etc. for Reppers webber scrammers etc., etc., etc...

Bookmarks:
"EYE" symbol change to bright yellow if 'ON' and greyed out if 'OFF' please
and...
in Overview > Tab Presets > creating a new tab we need the ability to "shift click" to 'check' or 'uncheck' a range of selections in both the main window and inside a type sub window (multi-select Typs and multi-sect within a type)...

Scanning:
Need the 'center' of view rotation to be the 'center' of the scan probe group by default... instead of who-knows-where-for-who-knows-why... =P

Suggestion: Change the distance a ship ejected from a titan SMA appears from the titan from 7500m to 1500m.
Keywords: Titan, Ship Maintenance Array, Death to all supers
Note: Currently when ejecting a say battleship from a titan it appears 7500m meters away form the pilot in the titan. This makes it very difficult to re scoop ships that have been ejected. Currently to my knowledge the titan is the only ship that suffers from this issue due to it's size.

- Before multi-sell, there was a warning when attempting to sell items for significantly less than their average value.
- Multi-buy successfully preserved this feature for buy orders.
- Is it not a little thing to reintroduce a warning message for sell orders?

It's just, I've now lost over 5bil in the last week alone due to forgetting a single zero at the end of my sell orders. Long ago the warning would stop me from selling things for 10% of their value, and I miss those simple days.

Maybe you suppressed the warning, its normally around in EVE.

Removing strip fit from the save fit area or put in a warning when you press it. just like when you jump to lowsec or WH for the first time.
This will really help disabled with sudden unwanted movements like Cerebral Parese and others.

I've reset my message-box-settings, tried it with minerals, and it's still not there. There's a message box that tells you how many units you're about to sell. There's no message box warning you that you're about to sell things for 1% of their price.

Though, actually, the former message box is pretty useful since it gives me one last chance to check all my prices. Thanks for that; I'm going to leave it unsuppressed, and that should fix my troubles.

Add server time to the new launcher. I would suggest in the server status section.

Suggestion: Add the Career Agent station and Blood-Stained Stars station to the starter-corp MOTD's.
Keywords: NPE, channels, MOTD, Agents, Missions

---

The NPC corp channel MOTD's are completely unused, and now without Aura to guide new players, they're largely dependent upon the Rookie Channel and others for help in locating the Career Agents and SoE arc. Considering how important the Career Agents are, new players should have at least a little guidance towards them, and having the details in the starter-corp MOTD's would be an ever-present (at least until they left) direction for them.

Since each starter NPC corp has a specific set of Career Agents, each of the starter-corp Corp channel MOTD's should direct player to that specific group.

  • suggestion: Target List Anchor - add options to set the alignment of targets (instead of current automagic approach)
  • keywords: UI, multi-monitor support
  • notes: positioning issues especially in multi-monitor setups, see below for details

The current behaviour is automatic - relatively to the center of EvE's window. Horizontally - if the anchor is to the right of it, it will align to the left (and vice versa). Vertically - if the anchor is above it, it will align downwards (and vice versa).

In single monitor setups this "ok" - not perfect and it can lead to issues depending on screen setup - but in most common scenarios it's fine.

But in multi monitor setups it can cause nightmares. Firstly automatic alignment ignores 'Camera Center' slider under 'Ship View Camera Settings' - so it's for example impossible to put 'Target List Anchor' on the left monitor with targets aligning to the left - if you have EvE spawning 2 monitors (or even 1.5 monitors in fixed window mode, if anchor is a bit further from the right edge, but still on the right side of the monitor).

The fix is pretty trivial - allow the user to manually set the alignment direction. Just add 2 options to right click context menu of the anchor:

- horizontal alignment (left, right, auto)
- vertical alignment (up, down, auto)

With 'auto' retaining current behaviour (though 'auto' is hardly a necessity when you can simply set the direction manually). This is addition to already existing options (lock target list, disable target movement, arrange targets vrtically/horizontally).

IF this is not possible for whatever reasons, at least make Target List Anchor respect 'Camera Center' option.

Suggestion: Create toggle option for Self Icon Bracket (the one that was introduced in Vanguard)
Keywords: UI, Bracket, customisation
Note: We can turn off every other bracket type in space, why not this one, Side note it has been bugging me since it was introduced, so currently I have either the brackets I want plus this one that I don't or none at all :(

Keywords: PI, Planetary Interaction
Note: Wrist pain inducing clicking to set up multiple factories to do the same thing over and over again on all your planets. Fun? No, let's make factories with an upgrade (similar to command centers - 1 factory can have the function of up to 5 or some other number).

Suggestion: Player-settable "estimated price" on a per-item basis
Keywords: market, industry, UI

I really like the "estimated price" feature, especially its integration into the new Industry tab, but it would be even better if I could manually peg the price of specific items (e.g. minerals, T2 components, PI goods, etc) to leverage the "estimated cost" shown in the Industry tab and make tracking my own manufacturing costs a lot more accurate. Per-region overrides not necessary. Think of all the electronic trees you would save by making external spreadsheets redundant!

Suggestion: High contrast color themes for UI windows
Keywords: UI, windows, color themes, usability, visibility, customization

Since it doesn't appear we'll ever be able to get the color sliders back that let us customize color and contrast of UI windows to suit our visual needs and preferences, I wonder if it would be possible to get one or two new options in the color themes list which cater to a need for high contrast borders, in particular? The SOE theme comes somewhat closest but even it does not provide sufficient differentiation of window borders to make individual windows easily selectable when you have six or eight windows overlapping against a very dark background.

Lost in space, looking for sigs...
