If you think about it, this idea is sort of already is in the game, just not as a game mechanic. If pilots want to reward those that go the extra mile, they can do that now by sending some ISK, a free ship, stuff, etc. to the contracter. Implementing a game mechanic would just make it easier, so yes, good idea.

Wouldn't it be fine to set this up in front of jobs done and don't worry about sending isk later on? And again it's up to you if you want to set up extra reward, you still may not and send iskies later on. Roll

I already do this deal with haulers like most of us do.

I Support this.

We should be able to set the Bonus time though. Like within 2 hours -->10m bonus, within 4 hours ---> 3m bonus etc.

Should also be able to do a 0 Reward contract with only a single bonus reward of 1 hour --> 20m or something. This would make only people who want to deliver it within 1 hour take the contract but in the event they cannot do it within that time for whatever reason, they at least can get back their collateral by delivering (though the reward will be gone).

Really a no brainer addition.

The fact that i have to advertise giving a bonus by XX, rather than it not being a feature is just a lack of design. Move it forward.

+1 under the condition that the ratio between reward and bonus is in favour to the reward. The bonus should not exxceed 30% - 50% of the reward.

not sure agree with the need for base rewards being being the majority payout, considering that most people will be willing to pay double if they need the item quicker, and if the base rewards are low, they will face the same slow shipping they always do.


could do something like a bonus pool;

lets say if completed within;
3 hours = 100% Bonus pool
6 hours = 75% Bonus pool
9 hours = 50% Bonus pool
12 hours 25% Bonus pool

12+ = 0% bonus

this would leave a single bonus pool option in the contract screen.

just a thought.

Time factor is a key one here, but if we want to switch that to reward base and then calc % that means that reward should be high enough to make reward attractive. Otherwise you have to set this manually during contract creation.

No, this is exploitable. You can just bump the freighter for an hour or 30 minutes and then either kill it or let it go so that he delivers the overcollaterized stuff for you and you do not need to pay reward. A Bonus is a Bonus for a reason. There ought to be no 0% Reward/100% Bonus contracts because then the Bonus is the reward. Any such mechanic is just going to be exploited and put to no good use.
