xD well the "Fix" seems to have cause I massive issue :P don't u guys have a split dev server to test these things out before going live?

or seeing how things are going maybe hardware failure could be the cause ... Oh well, my Noobish self was looking for some eve time, i'll chill with another game time :( so sad....

I wonder if CCP will compensate players for this?

Maybe they should have rolled the server back to before DT and they can work on the fix at their own pleasure.

I wouldn't mind a brand new server - everyone starts from scratch, in parallel with TQ, not as a reset or something.

The point wasn't that CCP shouldn't be looking out for the welfare of their employees, or that devs shouldnt have food, it was that if I was the paying customer of a company whose service has been unaccessible for over 6 hours (and I am), what I'd like to see to give me confidence is a detailed explanation of the problem and photos of people WORKING on it (even if they're having pizza at the same time), not pictures of devs hanging around a table having pizza with a game room in the background. Oh and a bit more detail on what's going on would be nice, we're not technical morons here, most of us can actually tell between our software and hardware and our frontends and backends (hopefully most people can generally tell between the last two).


I agree, you really should get your $0.10 refund for the downtime.... Ugh

As you’re all aware, Tranquility is still offline after today’s scheduled daily downtime.

This is due to an issue with a code deployment today while patching for a few fixes in EVE Online. The issue caused the cluster to fail to start up correctly, and as such, Tranquility is currently unavailable for play for both EVE and DUST.

Our operations and development team are working on this issue as we speak, and we’re hoping to have Tranquility back online for you guys as soon as possible.

Right now, we don’t have an ETA for when the cluster will be back online and accepting connections, but we’ll keep you updated in this thread.
