Actually, if you read your licensing agreement, if it's boilerplate, as most are, you can't expect any compensation at all, even if it's off for a month, or goes out of business.

Paying for a 'subscription' is always a risk, for the consumer, not the company. Load up your C64 emulator and play a rousing game of M.U.L.E., or practice your LOGO coding? Hell, I still play around on GEOS, though it's on a C128 with a real 1581/1541, and Lt. Kernel 20MB hard drive. (That was considered infinite, back in the days. :)

I don´t get it... people have asked for a dead eve for years and now that CCp is finally listening and delivering this experience / services to its paying customers there are only more tears incoming ...

You are 100% correct!

I was a database administrator and manager of same for several decades. If we had ever got caught without the ability to do a rollback / restore we would all have been fired on the spot.
