Heh...you haven't seen the half of it. There was, at that time, two other highly active threads (both 30+ pages, iirc) about the same thing, just worded a bit differently. This just happens to be the one that gained the lead and survived.

Okay two posts... Now three talking about the length of the thread adding to the length. Let's make it longer by talking about how long it is lol

If that worked, every teen male would need a wheelbarrow.

Wow too funny...

You could have removed "teen" since it's not exclusive to them. Lol

Yea, sucks is the word for it..
like just make it look like the gate is facing you all the time when approaching or something. Sad

I would rather have the option to turn off the dust clouds in mission rooms. Someone get on that!

Might as well be in TiDi anytime I undock, redock or jump through a gate. Brutal.

Fix this please.

been playing EVE for almost a year now. The new method for warping is the only method I know of. But I can confidently say that warp jumping animation is the worst part of the game that I have experienced so far. I play on a pretty powerful laptop - Core I7, 8gig, HD Graphics. And I cannot simply upgrade at this time. Warp drive animations cause a slew of issues for me, every single time I jump - which includes but not limited to: (1) my graphic driver crashes every jump : "Display driver igfx stopped responding and has successfully recovered.", (2) background programs crash with windows windows error report - mainly IExporer but sometimes even EVE will crash. (3) after the warp, when it goes to black-screen, my monitor stops getting signal from PC and goes into stand-by mode, which I then need to fiddle around with the input settings just to get my display back.

So ya, I could definitely use a way to disable this feature.

since my last post, and reading thru this thread, what I started doing was open the map & minimizing the game while flying, just to tab back for the next jump. Another thing that helps is kill as many running background tasks as possible. Without clearing my background tasks, just opening the map & minimizing reduces the issue about 50%, but once I cleanup my running process list from 80 down to 60, I can avoid the issue altogether with the map open and game minimized

+1

It would be really nice to be able to turn it off. Closing my eyes every time I jump is just silly.

I must note that I am noticing a significant improvement since the release of Crius. It seems to lag about 40% as much as before. It is now pretty much playable for me Smile

Still get motion sick after 50 jump, need to look away while jumping.

Walk into the club like "What up? I got a big cockpit!"

Why are you still bumping this? Hasn't it been made clear there is no old system anymore. I don't experience any type of graphical glitch on my computer or any form of nausea while going through the jump animation. Either fix/get a better computer or stand by a bucket of vomit like the pregnant girl you are.

I have the same issue. its specially problematic when we are hunting someone and I cannot look away while traveling. Usually after a dozen jumps is enough to make me start feeling bad. Now I play in a much smaller screen ( I know ... pathetic that I asa player need to do that to circunvent some incompentence of someone else (sorry but yes it is incompetence to not give a crap about your costumers experience) ) and that reduces a bit the feeling.

Its really impressive how obnoxious a company can be forcing a feature that does PHYSICAL harm to their costumers and then keep saying they are trying to find ways to increase player retention.

Just in case you are serious:
This was a change from before your time, judging from your character age. The gate system used to just be a black screen and loading bar as the next grid loaded, as opposed to the "eternal tunnel" that we have now. It was changed in Odyssey, a bit over a year ago now.
