your download service sucks

I can understand waiting to click the DL button, but having to wait a second countdown when you click it?

Thank you very much for all of your efforts, man! I do believe that I would have quitted EVE years ago if there had not been EFT...

Crucible version is available.

For EFT: the mwd-running calculations were close, but a bit too optimistic as far as cycling mods goes. EFT and pyfa both assumed the abaddon had infinite cap booster charges. In reality, the abaddon has 525m3 of cargo space. The heavy cap booster 2 can load 10 charges of cap booster 400 and fit 32 in a non-expanded cargo hold. It just runs out of cap charges. This should probably be considered a bug, as the program could estimate max # of cap boosters available without getting more from a can. This problem is pretty obvious to anyone who has ever theorycrafted a setup with cap booster 800s (which are pretty bulky).

I can't say this is a bug because I never claimed EFT counts cap booster charges. To simulate this you need take into account containers which people use to store cap charges inside the cargohold and weapon charges which also take up some room. At some point I was working on ability to specify all the stuff one could put in the cargohold and on the new capacitor algorithm which would also take that into account but got bored of it and never finished. Also testing showed that difference between new and old algorithms is negliable.

Ok, I'll try to update capacitor calculation later because it's almost fininshed (but not the cargohold stuff) but can I ask why such precision matters to you? It's not like you can finish real ingame fight with up to few seconds accuracy to avoid yourself running out of cap and for uses where you just compare what is better to fit like "cap recharge rig" or "mwd-less-cap-use rig" errors introduced by capacitor calculation should cancel each other out.

in EFT there is an option under File / Prefrences called *include reload time in dps* if unticked it might cause the infin charges in booster issue ur seeing (i might be wrong but worth a try)

This option affects only DPS calculation. Cap Booster reloads are always included because most people using biggest charges possible so cap booster running about as much time as it stays in reloading state.

Good day sir!

In the interest of developing software, I haz a bug to report:

Every now and again, but quite often, (seemingly random) EFT will not save changes I've made, be it to configuration or fittings.
There will be no files written, or any action to save anything really.

Things I've tried:
1. Set everything to write by everyone, in case that was the matter.
2. Different computers, different locations and even complete fresh installs of Windows on a freshly formatted drive.
3. Different methods of closing; close the fit before closing EFT and vice versa.

I love EFT, and I thank you for it, but I must admit this is bugging the crap out of me, as hours of EFT warrioring may just be lost with no records whatsoever.

Another instance of unknown WININET error # 127 with EFT 2.14 when trying to update character via the API.

I verified I have the wininet.dll file in c:\windows\system32
I tried running EFT in XP compatability mode and with admin privilege as a test. No joy.

I'm running Windows Vista™ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6002) Service Pack 2 64 bit

BTW, thanks much for this tool. I have used it for years and Eve would be very much harder to enjoy without it!

Your using Windows ****-sta, there's a reason your having problems. Upgrade your OS to Windows 7 and **** off with the bitching imo.
Better yet, learn coding, programming, and all the wonderful things Gripen has taken his time to learn and just write/code your OWN fix for the problem and post it here like a boss. However, you'll probably embark on this, then suddenly realise that "OHSHIT, this crap this way more complicated than I'd have thought" and you'll gain an appreciation what kind of hard work is require to make things like this be compatible with **** software like Microsoft ****-sta. Then you'll cut your bitching in due course and then hopefully just upgrade to Windows 7 in the end and save us all further posts about the ****-sta failing to authenticate.

^ This all at Xen especially, as much as we ruv your trolling in dod local, Gripen deserves nothing but respect at this point.
