Wow that confirms wine versions 1.5-1.7 as well as ATI, NVIDIA, and Intel drivers being effected.

Considering that users on VMware are reporting the same issues as well, it seems they messed up the graphics subsystem on a quite central point..

Everythings worked smooth until the last update then flickering occurs on every widget buttons or surface.

Hardware:
Platform: Intel X58
CPU: Core i7 990X
RAM: 12 Go
VIDEO: Nvidia GTX670

Software:
Linux Gentoo x86_64
Kernel 3.12.9
xorg-server 1.15
NVIDIA driver 331.38
Wine 1.7.11

How is it possible that Sisi test server doesn't have the problem and the actual client does ?

Empire is even more dangerous than 0.0 due to wardecs, so it's a suicide in every case.

Windows 7, GeForce 250 GTS. I've managed to run eve successfully ONCE since this morning's patch. Every other time, starting in character selection, my whole screen - not just the client - starts to flicker. If I don't try to log in, and try to close the program swiftly, I just get a display driver crash. If I try to log in, I bluescreen and reboot - again, with that solitary exception.

Thanks for reporting this. Is your driver is somewhat up-to-date and are you using dx9 or dx11 for EVE?

Thanks for reporting this. Is your driver is somewhat up-to-date and are you using dx9 or dx11 for EVE?


Updated my driver after the first 2 crashes. I have not changed my DX version. How might I try using DX9 instead?
