Given, how CCP does things
Given that the story behind Rubicon is that we are splitting off from the empires
Given that the message was "The Empires have put out the call to eliminate a great threat"
Who is the biggest threat in all of New Eden to the empires?

I had my doubts of course. I thought "surly CCP wouldnt risk the rage of the player base just for the sake of an epic event."

Evidently I know CCP a bit too well.

What boggles my mind is why didnt they just release some boring lore text that noone will ever read and be done with it?
