Please just don't...

If you can't move people there, don't do it, you have at least 500 - 1000 people spending all time just traveling in tidi.

So please. just stop with events then and make an animation, put it on youtube, will be easier for everybody!

BTW your forum is broken, and where is my sig?

I have no problems with live events, as long as they are organised properly, including ways to make it harder for the big blocs to mess things up for the other people (Doril camp anyone?)

If the NPC navies are supposed to be helping..have them help, put some Devs in the grossly op ships we have seen them in before and be in fleet. That would help for a start. Use NPC titans if necessary, make it epic, not a turkey shoot for Goons (again).

You didn't miss anything. I don't think anyone even reached the system where the target was.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

I reached the target system and landed on the Research Facility we were supposed to attack and got killed within 30 seconds. Only about 10 other High-Sec pilots made it there and we were attacked by 15+ Macharials with supporting ships. CCP ended up self destructing the Research Facility

Wait, wait, wait - you're saying that the pirates actually won, so CCP panicked and dev-stroyed the objective? lol, wow, this just keeps on getting better and better.

Sounds suspiciously like the rigged outcome of the Luminaire titan event.

I saw it got "Ganked" yesterday and EVEMail resulted in a "/Application Error". Funny how there wasn't a post about this.

Where is my signature CCP? Is it with your "How to plan a LIVE Event Handbook" i.e. lost never to be found again? Roll

CCP utterly failed in Event Management:
First, not enough details were given to players. People were given the impression that it was a PVE event, but it was not. It was a trap nothing more nothing less. A few hours before the event was scheduled to begin, another announcement was made, this time it was an invitation to all gankers to please unite in the destination system, or on the way there, as the staging system was already known...

So, every Uber-pvp-gank-SWAG was having fun, while CCP wasn't even able to provide enough IT ressources to reduce lag...

I am so glad, not having been part of this "for the lulz" slaughter! I was doing incursions and some missions.

What is so sad about EVE is the fact, that it is the only MMO I know where player cooperation is not needed, escept for incursions. One doesn't even need to be in a corp to live in nullsec. only if u seek sovereignity.

PLEASE CCP get some pros to do the job. Why not create a WH that leeds from staging to destination system?
Why not clearly announce a PVP event?
Why not give us players more content where cooperation is needed?

Why not create PVP arenas? The ganking mechanics are so poor, it is ridiculus!
I played over 12.000 matches in WoT and was never really mad when losing a match, because the matches were sort of balanced (although this might be worth anouther discussion, but well...)
Why not add arena systems, were people can queue up for "balanced matches"? Then it would be "real" PVP and not Blops ambushing other Blops.....

Basically if I would go into the null on myself, I would at least use scout. Trying to proceed as commanded by CCP Devs running the event, you will be in deep trouble. That is what i learned from this event.

I wonder how many of the CCP devs responsible for this event are Goons?

Protect me from knowing what I don't need to know. Protect me from even knowing that there are things to know that I don't know. Protect me from knowing that I decided not to know about the things that I decided not to know about. Amen.

This is the problem. It showed a bunch of rookies a) Eve does not scale b) the worst aspect of null PVP.

Why would anyone not already in null go there after that debacle? Terrible idea CCP.

No.

Lore text in local stated that they evacuated personnel/equipment from those stations and then rigged them to explode and leave nothing behind for the empires to investigate. Pirates were victorious and they'll be continuing research elsewhere to avoid further attacks from the empires.

I swear to god CCP is run by Mittens.

No company is this ********, a 14-year-old with no dev powers could have organized a better event.
