In the attempt to improve the overall fight quality and node stability in the Z9PP system at 22:41 UTC by moving away all non-critical services from this node, our engineers unfortuntely made a mistake and actually moved the critical system from the current server node instead of moving all other systems. As result every pilot in this system lost connection to the node and therefore to Tranquility.

The system Z9PP is online and accessible again now.

It is extremely unfortunate to make such a mistake and we apologize deeply for disrupting one of the truly epic battles in the history of EVE; especially since this battle already raged on for several hours and was still heating up for more! We are very sorry about this incident and will make sure that such mistakes won't happen again.

so u just saved the whole test cap fleet from total destruction.... it smells fishy !!!!

So you are going to force everyone that was dumped out, yet had an aggression timer to remain in space (based on normal game mechanics)?

or are you going to go "whoops, we just screwed you all out of the kills you were working on by an "accident"

You accidentally saved the entire TEST capital fleet and this is what you have to offer? Our engineer messed up, oops?

Stop boasting how your game features massive player made fleet fights then proceed to crash the server whenever they're going down you idiots.

Half a day logged in here to make this fight happen and you oops one entire side out of it? Go **** yourselves.

Why aren't server states saved when a node restarts?
Will there be an Internal Investigation?

Mad Ani even used this fight as advertising for Eve. Guess that's not very effective if **** like this happens.

We had quite literally 100+ capitals trapped in bubbles and there was no way they were getting out. Based on the numerous scans, we had their battleships outnumbered 3-1 (check out Mad Ani's stream for verification). CCP literally saved 100+ TEST caps... you had 5+ hours to reinforce the node- the numbers were dropping from 2200+ down to 1850 when the node went down. How on earth do you make a decision to reinforce that node after 5+ hours and when local was dropping?

I know multiple CCP staff were watching Mad Ani's feed...

Take the 117 trapped capitals away from the pilots that were trapped. They were dead and you should recognise this, I think!

But yeah this was a mistake on CCP's side, an unfortunate mistake, and people calling ~THREADNOUGHT DEV ALLIANCE PLZ IGNORE~ are dumb

Is there an explanation why those ships weren't still in space as they' were all in aggression when they got dumped from the server?

Or do I simply misunderstand the how it works.

Honest question.

This is a rhetorical question, but one CCP should be asking internally.

The first thing you can do is to fire the people responsible. They clearly don't know what they are doing and should be working as GMs for EA or some ****.

You've been running this game for 10 years, going 'oops' in a 2000-man fight and then just saying you're sorry doesn't cut it any more.

I see alot of whining but I guess you guys forgot about the gifts CCP has already given you early in the war, saved alot of caps that you've wisely kept off the field since then.

It saved less than 20 capitals and was due to outside forces, not CCP directly.
