Yo, New Eden, got capsuleers in da house. What's up? And their pimped rides. Yo, capsuleer, if ya want me to unpimp your ride, lemme hear ya say Wat?

You did not use the exact term, but you did imply it by description.

I think pathetic are those who do camp AFK in a game and I think they have a raelly low life in RL too. But this thread is not about who I consider being pathetic or not.

It's about EVE mechanics and that you should no be able to do anything in this game without sacrificing your RL TIME! that's all.

It is true Teckos introduced the term first, but the context for it was provided by you.

As you described a condition where another player was causing distress, and then claiming this was not good gameplay to do so over extended periods, it is hardly a big jump to shorten and define it as grief play.

If the shoe fits, wear it.

Nope you got it all wrong.

As you see I have no problem with peoples flying cloaky ships in space and harassing other people 24/7 aka GRIEFERS. I do respect, like and sometimes even enjoy this type of gameplay.

We established earlier that a cloaky AFK pilot can not be called a GRIEFER, because by definition GRIEFER = "a player who devotes much of his time to making others’ lives miserable", and AFK != "devotes much of his time".
So the last type of people I said I find pathetic not the GRIEFERS.

Some of you keep replying to my posts without even reading them properly just to troll me and spam in this thread and I think this kind of behavior is forbidden in this forum.

How weak of an argument is that?

What would you suggest is the solution to this? Would that be placing the equivalent of a timer on cloaked vessels?
How long would they have with no keystrokes before being flagged AFK and bounced?

Your argument is flawed from that direction too.
You cannot know they are not at their keyboard, you simply assume this since that is how you would expect them to behave under those circumstances.
And if you actually believe them if they tell you they are AFK, you should know I am AFK while posting this too.

And cloaked.

Cause your stupid enough not the see an issue where there is an issue doesn't mean that there isn't an issue there.

Yes make this sticky. People talk about it alot. It is a topic that raises over and over again meaning there is an issue here.

no, there are too many stickies on the first page. I don't want a few ideas by us pilots on the first page, I want alot. You can ask CCP VERY NICELY to make this idea integrated in https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=6342&find=unread that thread.

Heavy whipping cream in your coffee is awesome...and using a cloak to stay safe while going to make some is also awesome.

That thread is useless in regards to AFK Cloaking as it already has commonly proposed ideas regarding AFK Cloaking and people still post the same tired old arguments, often leading with:

Quote:
I did a search, and couldn't find this idea on dealing with AFK cloaking.....

In fact, last thread I just read on it, it was a variation on the above,

Quote:
I don't know if it has been proposed before...

I stopped there and replied, "Yes." Then I finished reading the post, went to google and straightaway found 2 threads proposing very similar ideas.

Yo Kreskin...err Theodore.

My point in highlight the section from the policies section of the website was not really about grief play, but about the portion highlighting that Eve is a harsh and unforgiving place and that non-consensual PvP is a part of the game that is to be expected. Hence claims about AFK cloakers ruining your game are insufficient basis for demanding a change...one which CCP has already signalled they really will never make (i.e. nerfing cloaks given the present capabilities of local as an intel source).

Confirming I'm a cloaky camper who thinks cloaky camping is just a little bit OP. Really though, if you can't mine veldspar without being at the computer, why should you be able to harvest tears without being at the computer?

Hey, I use the mechanic. It's broken as **** though.

I fly mostly cloakers.
But i play.
Why would someone be able to win without playing?
We laugh, we troll... but someday it will happen. The horrid day when CCp will put a timer on cloak, and fat wanky nerds will learn there's life outside the game. We will see some suicides. CCP will also get best marketing: the negative one. Oh, do you guys think they don't have marketing plans? There's always a Blonde, and, yeah, always in Marketing Department. Oh, sorry...i forgot. Nerds only see blondes in specific pictures, and this makes them think those are mythological beasts, like the Monster Of Loch Ness. Nerds, you will learn one day: Blonde Monsters can hurt you. In time, it always happen.Lol

But which mechanic are they actually using to, as you say, 'harvest' these tears?
