Well they said they have most textures at 4 times the size. I assume that means 4 times the height and 4 times the width. That means 16 times the number of pixels. If we assume no additional colour depth, then the texture pack would be 16 times the size of the current texture download. So if the current textures take up at a guess 2GB, then the hi res pack would be 32GB. The 2GB is obviously just a guess, honestly have no idea.


Textures can be compressed.

I've been asking for this on the forums ever since Tyrannis came out. The planets used to be much higher res on SiSi, you guys have a lot to look forward to!

Also, the backgrounds are distressingly low res... they look like low quality JPGs, which is a shame as the art is amazing!
