My computer can barely handle running current graphics on all medium settings, but I don't see any reason for why an optional texture pack could not be made available for download for those players who have the hardware to use it. Ideally this would be a wholly optional download, to reduce bandwidth costs for CCP and for players, however.

Well, sigh my ass up for it. I don't have a top-of-the-line rig, but Eve already plays @ smooth 60fps with everything toggled and on highest.

Count me in, especially if the high rez texture pack includes unique skyboxes for all systems! I want the sky to look different when I jump a few light year in any direction :)
