TIGHTER MOUSE REACTION AND TRANSLATION OF MOUSE TO CAMERA MOVEMENT

Dear Soundwave

I would like to have much tighter controls in terms of how the camera reacts to my mouse.

I have deselected 'smooth camera movement' and there is still plenty of smoothing and drag going on.'

What I basically want is almost a 100% translateion of my mouse movement to the camera movement (like in any decent FPS that has responsive reactions to mouse movement). I dont need smoothing. So when I stop moving m mouse, i dont want the camera to drag for several degrees.

I would really appreciate it as it would really improve responsiveness and sense of control.

More sound options, so we can have sounds like "Gate fire, Jump thru wormhole, Low shields / armor / hull ect.

Without all the hard on the ears sounds like the combat timers.

Just a couple of quick ones

1. Someway to allow us to trash station containers without having to wait 30 days because of audit logs (i always forget, open the can, and then extend it by another 30 days)

2. When an industry job finishes can the science and industry panel flash, or can we get a little sound effect (common team klang!!)

3. Similar to above, but for PI, if one our our extractors finished, or if the storage facility is full, can we just get a little flash, hell i would even be happy with a notification of some type for this (optional of course)

Make the jumpclone UI better.
(Why is it posible to remove a clone buy having more then 1 clone in one station? Just remove to option to jump out when there is allready a clone)

Realistic

Hotkey to open selected container.
Ability to open all nearby containers with a hotkey or button.
Salvage drones that work on white wrecks that you didn't create.
Spam detection/Automute functionality (Same person posts same message multiple times within x timeframe)

Less Realistic

Pos modules/hangars configurable to access for certain players
More corp hangar tabs
Toggle in system (or on grid, either would be fine) bookmarks to appear on overview
All drones assist Squad commander hotkey

The In-game browser bookmarks window. Clicking on a saved bookmark/other buttons in the window makes this horrendous noise better fit for a horror movie than internet spaceships. Remove it :(

Constellation Buy Orders
Allow not only Station-, System- and Region-wide buy orders as well as a "numbers of jumps" setting, but also allow Constellation-wide buy orders. This makes it a bit nicer for traders to break up a region into smaller areas and it is more natural to the game than having to rely on the number of jumps for setting up a buy order. (It might even provide a performance advantage over the "number of jumps" setting.)

Improved Waypoint Optimization of the Autopilot
Drop the notification box when optimizing more than 10 waypoints. This feature hardly serves a practical purpose, because all it can do is to freeze the computer for a very long time, but implement the following improvement instead:

If there are more than 10 waypoints and a player wishes to optimize them then first sort all waypoints by "nearest waypoint". The "nearest waypoint" algorithm orders waypoints by their distance to each other, returning a semi-optimized solution, and is much faster while allowing an almost unlimited number of waypoints. Then optimize only the 10 first waypoints and don't ask the player if he wants to optimize more than 10. Popup a notification in such a case and tell the player that only the first 10 waypoints were thoroughly optimized and allow for the box to be displayed only once (have a checkbox saying "Don't show this again").

This improvement allows one to optimize any number of waypoints without needing to trim their number down to 10-11 waypoints, or to find out about the truth when it says that it can take a very long time... One can optimize the path again at a later time after a few waypoints have been passed. It makes path optimizations simpler and easier to use.

More Keyboard Shortcuts for Drones
If one currently wants to have a single drone return then one needs to select it in the drone window and has to find the right entry in the menu. This menu has far too many entries, which makes it tedious to operate drones fast. Have shortcuts that allow to command a single drone (or a selection of drones). I.e. selecting a single drone in the drone window and pressing a key combination should make this drone return. It will make the use of drones much less complicated.

Searching Assets by their Estimated Value
Have a key in the asset search function to allow searching for items of a minimum or maximum value. I.e.:

Module minvalue: 1000000 ---> Returns a list of modules all worth 1m ISKs and more.
Ammo maxvalue: 10000 ---> Returns a list of ammo all worth less than 10k ISKs.

Transparency for Courier Contracts
Make the content of a courier contract visible like an item exchange contract, because courier contracts with a collateral are similar to making a temporary purchase and a pilot should be allowed to know what the cargo will be before accepting into a contract.

This will also help to prevent the latest courier scams, where freighter pilots are being given empty contracts with a 2b ISK collateral and then getting ganked to profit from the collateral.

Here are some "little things" from me:

I'd like to be able to export my UI settings from one charakter and import that to other charakters.

It would be nice to have the option to toggle (deactivate/activate) certain warning sounds (i.e. I would like to turn of the capacitator warning and the "open wreck sound").

This reminds me....would like to see the option of having bookmarks appear in the overview.

A few market bugs / oversights that I just noticed:


  • Citadel Cruise Missiles have no Variations tab (neither faction nor standard ones)

  • The Serpentis "Guardian" charges are the best hybrid ammo alongside with Dread Guristas, wheras it should be "Shadow" charges instead (Since Guardian are the "elite" frigates but Shadow are their commanders just like how Guristas is the lower and Dread Guristas the best ammo, to be in line with all other pirate faction ammo types) so the names need exchanging

  • Republic Fleet XL Ammo appears in the Variations tab of the ammo types but is not actually in any LP Stores


Also, not sure of this, but is there even any way to gain commander faction (Domination, True Sansha, Dread Guristas, Dark Blood, Shadow) XL Charges anywhere? I see them exisiting in the Database, but never saw any market availability or any way to get them.

Abbreviations for large numbers in numeric input fields
Allow the use of abbreviations like 2b for 2000000000, 10m for 10000000 and 50k for 50000 in numeric input fields. Preferably this feature should work interactively; when one writes 75m and tabs to a next field should the abbreviated number be replaced with 75,000,000.

This is useful in many places, from placing a bounty, to searching assets, to market orders and more. It helps to avoid placing a ten billion ISK bounty (10000000000) when it should only be one hundred million ISK (100000000). It makes placing buy orders for large volumes easier when one can write 800m as a substitute for 800000000. Or to search for a stack of six million units of Tritanium with Tritanium minimum: 6m instead of Tritanium minimum: 6000000.

Improved filter for Courier Contracts
1.) When one filters High-sec contracts does the filter often return contracts, which start and end in High-sec, but which lead the pilot through Low- and Null-sec currently. Allow to filter not only for High-, Low- and Null-sec stations as the start and end point, but include a filtering option which checks each waypoint against the select criteria exclusively.

2.) Display the "ISKs per jump" amount for each contract in the list and allow the list be sorted by it.

Cleanup the Probe Scanning Interface
The interface to exploration / probe scanning is very sensitive and overloaded with functionality. Stations, planets, etc. often take the mouse focus over a probe in space, making the placement and movement of probes more tedious than necessary. A cleanup of this interface would be nice. Perhaps make some features optional with a list of checkboxes.

Improve the Planetary Interaction Interface
The interface to planetary interaction is somewhat slow. Especially when the hotspot overlay is turned and while moving extraction heads around. This could use some speedup. Either delay the bar chart animation in the window to an extraction control unit or make it entirely optional with a checkbox and so that it can be turned off.

Are you referring to overview? or window positions (as there is already a way of doing that for overview)

Couple of edge cases:

->Ability to split/join stacks in market delivery window from right click on item. Currently you have to open the contracts window and begin the creation of a contract, then split from the item selection window.

->Ability to accept contracts for corp that you created yourself (or, the ability to place items directly into the market delivery hangar). Currently, the work around is to create a contract to your corp, then accept for corp using a different toon.

->Ability to right-click a group of items and "shrink wrap". Current work around is to create a courier contract to an alt, then fail the contract and trade the shrink wrapped package back to the original toon.

Here's my list of little things after 3 months of playing the game:

Core gameplay (spaceship command)
More responsive-feeling in-flight UI
- Draw me a line in space for 2 seconds that shows my new trajectory after all course changes (double click, align to, orbit, keep at range, etc.)
- play an immediate beep sound when I engage modules, and a boop sound when I disable them
- show the tracking speed of turrets in the hovering info panel

Drone window stopgaps
Every time the window reloads...
- The 'Drones in Drone Bay' and 'Drones in Local Space' main groups should appear expanded by default
- The player created subgroups under 'Drones in Bay' should appear collapsed by default
- The subgroups under 'Drones in Local Space' should appear expanded by default
(- Also, it would be a huge help if you could see the health bars of your drones in the drone bay as well)

Misc.
- Let me adjust the vertical size of the new transparent event log (I'd like to stretch it all the way from the top of the screen to the bottom)
- Let me re-enable modules (turn them from red back to green) as long as their cycle isn't completed
- Arguably, the question of who's attacking my drones is more important then who's doing damage to me - show a blue hue in the in-space target reticule of the ships that damaged my drones during the last minute (like the red hue you started doing with Retribution)

In-game Browser
- The URL in the Address Bar should only be selected when you first load up the browser, or when I open a new tab

Skill training
- The training time of skills feels very 2003 to me, an across the board 10% cut would be a really nice gift to new and old players alike
