Eve Gate. Does anybody at all remember this still exists?

What a complete waste of time that was eh? Almost as good as Captain's Quarters and Walking in Station.

Now why has this subject come up? Well amusingly enough I took a look at the Eve Gate site and lo and behold!

Looked in the upper left hand corner.... What am I looking for? Says EVE|GATE. Your answer is a non-answer. Hope u can clarify it.

How does this reflect the fact that the info he is speaking of is 2-3 months out of date?? That's actually been bugging me for a while.

I think I am wondering:

Why not keep the info there up to date??

While I'm sure the OP was asking a rhetorical question, I have to say I use it every day to check mail when I am away from my PC. My sales and communications depend on it for keeping up to date with my potential customers.

I use the browser-based mail all the time, but that's about it.

It's not very useful right now, but I think it also serves as a proof of concept for integrating the game with the forums/a browser.

Its my main link to Eve's stuff, like these forums. I use the link to the dev blogs, monitor my skill queue, mailbox, etc.

So yeah, pretty much several times a day I open up Eve Gate.

CCP dreams big, the follow through leaves a lot to be desired. Likely because management is weak.

Not every feature a product managers dreams of is really wanted by the players...

Odyssey: Repacking in POS hangars for modules +1,  but please for other stuff too, especially containers. Make containers openable in POS hangars.

I agree and as Iceland is not one of the signatories to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the management should toughen up and use torture to motivate the Devs.

And remember if it isn't bug free you will disappear in the middle of the night. Lol

The point was that EVE Gate isn't just some news page, it is the forums, it is web e-mail access, skill training queues, and a lot more.

On related note, the only really useless part of Eve Gate is prolly the corp and contacts chatter.

I use it regularly due to a dodgy work schedule. Even if I can't play eve at work, I can at least exchange mail or check forums.

I second that. Give me a corp (in game chat) and as far as Im concerned its the single best online tool for a MMO in existance.

The reality of Eve is that, if you don't love it like it is today, you should probobly go ahead and unsub.
