Yes that too.. Theres some weird bug with chat.. Im not sure if its only corp chat tho as i was under influence that local does this too.. Corp mates have been seen in chat even they logged out like 12hrs ago...

Not sure if local is still doing it. but Dodixie solar system says 516 in local all the years ive played never seen it past 400.

Firstly I like to say missiles looking good

Stealth bombers looking sexy too

But here is where is gone wrong:

Chat windows are showing people that have logged out and even local is bugged as hell apparently my corp mates could see me in the last 12 systems I travelled through, then people where trying to talk to me once I gone offline.

Me thinks on that one the old saying comes to mind 'if it wasn't broke don't try and fix it'

This inventory system needs to be pulled and sent back to the designers,
Its too easy to make mistakes like dropping expensive stuff in corp mates hangers (if you got security officers roles or directors+)

Corp members hangers in the inventory is not sorted in any way and takes too much time to located the one you want to drop stuff in if you got a large corp.

IdeaMild suggestions:Idea

Missiles looking sexy can you increase the trails I know a lot of us wanting this

cruise missiles and tourps been lunched off BS class need a fine tuning as they do very sharp movements after 1 second after launch.

Please CCP can you listen to us that use sici with you and give you feedback about these issues, we rather you delay the deployment of patches till they are fully working and how us the paying customers would like them

I'd like to see the overview lose focus on mouseout, to avoid tripleclicking in order to change shipdirection.

Well been thinking of taking a short break from eve but with this new inventory might be a long long break it really sucks. You need to give people the choice of which way they want their inventory to be. until then looks like my 4 accounts will be ending soon not sure if I am gonna return or not fly safe and good luck

For starters your new inventory is horrible. It's very inconvenient and difficult to manage. The old one was nice quick and simple. For instance, before in my carrier i could open my corp hanger and my fuel bay and just drag my fuel to refill easy and simple. Now i got to juggle through all this sub windows to open to over sized windows to try the same thing. Navigation through the different corp hanger tabs is more difficult as well.

The worst problem with the update though is simple. YOUR CHAT SYSTEM IS TOTALLY BROKEN! Please fix it . It's a really big problem. People on in corp that aren't actually online and we see neuts in systems even after they're long logged off. We also see friendly in system to that aren't even there. It's really confusing to have these channels all show people as online when they are off. Please fix that immediately. Thank you. Smile

Why does eve use SOOO much more cpu to run multiple clients now? How come I keep getting "Socket Closed" all the time now? I admit to being a carebear and can live without the chat windows updating who is and is not online atm. I HATE the new inventory situation. Salvaging is a nightmare..
However the worst thing is the Socket closed crap.. How am I supposed to run missions?

It's also very out of the way to need to navigate past every ship and ship cargo bay i have just to get to open up the items and ships hangers every time i dock. It was very simple when they were separate things and i could just click to open both and they would always be open when ever i log on or dock. It was Quick and convenient the old way.

Patch 2 and it's still there. Is this actually going to be fixed or declared a new "feature"?

Instead they are slowly fixing the new inventory, making it somewhat useable. Unfortunately the main problem will stay: About 80% of what I do with items is drag & drop between different instances and forms of containers. And this is where a one-window-solution will always suck, no matter how nicely it is animated.
And the POS modules still don't remember what division I'm using. Fail.

Ok CCP here is my point of view why I dislike the new item management system and why I require the old system back:

Bust first: I know it was a really hell of work to do that patch and I really like the new missiles and the changes you have made.

If you have any question pleas send me an ingame mail (link to your post is ok).

1.Size

The new item management system requires too much space on my screen. If I´m flying in space and wnat to have my cargohold in one corner to observe cap booster reserve or ammo/booster reserve it´s now taking more space even if I put the window as small as I can (due to the changed frame wideness). If I have the window as small as before I can´t see as much details as before. Information like the price are maybe nice for traders but really not needed in pvp.

Se you can keep the function but you should implement a switch that players can decide if they want to keep it or not (same with the number of items )

2. Lag

Yeah you have seen right. Lag. If you have a large battlefield with very much wrecks youneed a long time till you have loaded the full number of wrecks/cans and that´s maybe too late to loot expensive items or is really pissing you off if you are salvaging.
That leads to point 3.

But first I have to mention posses. You will have a hell of a lot of silos and hangars which you in most cases can´t even acces. So why are they in that list? and additionally they are creating massive lag while you enter the forcefield.

3. Lack of overwiev

If you try to loot from a field with many wrecks it´s taking ages til you have found the wreck you want to loot and It´s even more time til you find your cargo even if you have your ships cargo deattached with shift + drag n drop. If you already found the wreck in the overwiev or in space you don´t want to search for the right cargocontainer in that item management system.

Overview is important for all players But I think It´s most important for carrier/supecarrier and other cap pilots because they need their hangars on different places on the screen to switch items/ships/fuel fast. And as a carrier pilot I´m really pissed because that means lag (because I just need my cargo and my fuel bay and not all other stuff, too).

4. Autorest of set positions

So I finally deattached my ships cargohold and put it in one of the corners. Now I´m docking. And suprise it is again in the middle of my screen (where I don´t want it to be!!!!!!!!!).

That´s really bad for me but It´s worse for miners (which you tried to satisfy with your last patch and now you are giving them a slap direct into their face) and I think the salvaging ppl are upset, too because of the damn long list of containers which will take ages to load and is complicated to manage if you just loot all.

That´s what I´ve found out until now and I may add some things in other posts.
As written above if you (CCP) have a question please write me an ingame mail (with link to your post is ok)

Just have to add my name to the chorus... the previous inventory system worked much better. I can see that the new Unified Inventory has certain situational advantages, but 90+% of the time when docked the items/ship hangar/cargo hold scheme is far more appropriate.

I also understand you guys invested time and effort in building the new inventory system... and that you are reluctant to maintain two separate inventory systems. But this has a big impact on the community. It's something EVE users use constantly, and what you came up with seems nearly universally condemned as worse than the simple but effective setup that we had before.

Also, for a new player, I'd think the new unified inventory would be more confusing. It just generates a lot of "where's my stuff?" angst.

New unified inventory needs to be a power user mode... something like the original, simpler mechanism should be the default.

First I'd like to say the missiles look amazing. I'm not sure exactly what the motion is about right after they launch, before they ensue the target, they sort of Z out into space and then head off, kinda odd. Not so much a big deal, just little details.

Stealth Bombers look pretty awesome. The T1 to T2 hull characteristics are not really the same from what I can see.

War Dec information is very nice, very informative, so far I'm a fan. I also think the factional warfare is pretty well done. I look forward to jumping into that at some point.

Item management I find very frustrating and I don't think it's a "you'll get used to it" thing.
*When I dock, all of my inventory windows are closed, I need to reopen them.
*The size taken up the by tree to the left (though you can collapse it, that's nice) and the approximate value on the bottom (does not go away, unnecessary space) is a little too much. Maybe make the value space collapseable also?
*Personally not fond of my ship being removed from the hangar when I make it active, I think the box around it was sufficient.
*For those of us that sort hangar items into cans, the filter feature is incredibly useless.
*Opening a wreck or can in space over your inventory is a pain also. The Loot All option is awesome when you have the room, but if you want to pick and chose, you need to have the tree open and drop things in the right spot. This kinda hits the size issue again.

I think separate windows was much easier, I personally liked being able to just see what I have in what container and being able to drag and drop freely instead of trying to find the name in the tree and possibly putting it in the location above or below.

Call it nitpicking, say I'm unreasonable or it doesn't make sense, but personally I like the old inventory system. Make it an option to revert at least.

I would really like to see if CCP is able to keep the servers running, only with the few left people who likes the last changes with this usless.. erm.. unified UI.
Roll back the UI; bring this Arrow guy here, let him explain himself in a devblog and after that fire Arrow. Otherwise you have a lot of problems with your paying customers. I think CCP can appraise the amount of time which they have from now on, to rescue the corporation CCP, without the minority of the player base.
Give us our functional UI back; Give us the Ship hangar Icon in the neocom back or you have to earn your money with the rest of the players, who likes your unfinished sh!t.

BTW I hate Arrow's work as hell.

It is absolute not possible to play the game as I wish and as I have learned during the last 4 years. And NO! I do NOT give you the time to improve your sh!t UI again. I demand the last stable version of the UI! You have disabled EVE by yourself.

ROLL BACK THE UI!

i usually don't post in the forums, but this time i will make an exception.

missiles are interesting, and the effects are better looking when they hit. reminds me of bottle rockets hitting a wall at night. "small rockets". i use guns so i haven't seen the launch animation yet, i might throw a launcher on just to check it out today.

as for the unified inventory...... my god what were you thinking ccp. i can see a lot of benefit in the system if you could separate the windows and turn off the price estimation tool but as it is it's a real pain. i run a lot of missions and have a LOT of salvage and loot to collect. there is a noticeable lag now when opening the wrecks container. this may not be more than a sec or two but if you are doing salvage on 100+ wrecks............it is nothing but annoying!!! oh and before you say something about my internet connection i do have a very high speed connection.

i like EVE to much to quit like some have threatened. but please guys think about changes a bit more before testing it on us.
