Yes I edited it out, Ill admit I would love to hear that, I'm not gonna deny it, because its truth, no I am not drunk, wish I was, ran outta tequila the other day X I retracted what I said because well, I do have a temper and realized that saying that was just wrong, thinking it is another matter.... that makes my 'wish would die in a car accident' list at around 150 or so XD

And yet, here you are, doing what you decry. I find this very amusing. Or are you a Goon alt trying to build sympathy for The Mittani by explaining how such a mistake could happen very easily?

I am not encouraging others to harass another just to see if they would commit suicide, then make a token apology just in an attempt to save face.

I didn't. I've heard the gist of it I just really don't care. I love the fallout. Don't have to like the tree to enjoy the fire, in fact it can be just the opposite.

I just read the OP and decided to point out his obvious bullshit

Issueing a ban for a violation of the EULA (which doesn't apply out of game) is one thing, but removing the president of an institution made to represent the players opinions isn't correct. They didn't vote him in there and yet they remove him, how is that for democracy? Now I wouldn't complain about it a bit if there would have been a proper impeachment procedure where the playerbase, or the rest of the CSM as their representatives, decided that Mittani can no longer properly represent them. But right now it looks a little bit like a constitutional monarchy where the monarch dismisses the head of the Parliament all by himself.

just because someone is popular doesn't mean they aren't replaceable

and this isn't an actual government, it's a PR tool for a gaming company. He could have 10x the number of votes for him to play internet club leader and still talk his way out of a butter "job" in a flash.

there isn't some constitution they are in violation of for wanting to make him (and the issue itself by proxy) just go away completely.

that is a fair statement. however
while guilt by association is not fair, neither is life

you'll find in reality no matter how much you cry "don't paint me/my friends/whatever" with a broad brush, no one will listen. you might as well repeat it over and over to a brick wall. it will listen about as much as the public will.

people associate their opinions of you based on those you associate with.

even if only one vocal percentage of a group are the ones being a complete ass, or one person alone, that negative opinion will propagate. why? because given the choice, even after the fact, you stand on the side of the dunce. YOU may know that the public opinion is wrong, or exaggerated or misdirected... but the public just doesn't care. many people have failed in life just by choosing to ignore this axiom (how does PR work anyways?)

corporations understand this very well, as the lesson is taught in bad publicity and ultimately money lost. that is why when silly little non-issues like this crop up, they quickly become quashed by the group sacrificing the ass to the mob. it's that or you let some moron take down the entire group with him.

you can't shake the devil's hand and say you're only kidding.

mitt can blame this on alcohol or whatever he wants to, but the fact is he doesn't face this backlash for that one comment. it's the pattern of behavior he and his group have displayed up until this point. how they've been perceived by the people NOT in his group, NOT voting for him, that has put him in such a bad place. role-playing? sure. but given a role to play, that is the one they (and you, whether you like it or not, by association) have chosen to portray

it's funny. all the people that have tried to knock him off his pedestal by force failed. but like so many others who's ego are larger than they can manage, the best way to kill him was to just keep giving him rope and let him do the rest himself.

When I came to the forums the other day and saw threads complaining about my behavior - not remembering what I'd said - I assumed that I was enduring the usual anti-Goonswarm trolls, and posted something like "deal with it~" in my usual "The Mittani" way.

now he did go on to say.....

while some might try to use my inebriation as a mitigating factor, I put myself in that compromised mental state, and the guilt of that is entirely mine.

but that doesn't really work. see, that's what people attached to reality and not full of BS call "talking out of both sides of your mouth"

I would add to that, my extensive experience in life has taught me when people say
"I was so drunk I don't remember"
what they are really saying is
"god I hope they blame the booze and not me, because i remember that **** and I'm embarassed of myself."

the world is so full of bullshit artists it becomes easy to think the above is an apology. but it isn't, it's a deflection. he's trying to compartmentalize his apology to save face, instead of doing what he should be: apologizing for what he has chosen to (consistently) be.

see also: his (paraphrasing) "i can separate how i treat ppl via a keyboard from how i treat them with a microphone" as if there is a difference.

he might believe that lie enough if he keeps repeating it, but i don't think many others are buying

you've obviously never had to raise children (or never learned to look past bullshit)

the op reads like this:

Deflection

Deflection

Faux apology.

And it has all the tact of a teenager, which is how most of us view your group (accurately or not), as a bunch of overgrown children.

Would it sting less if I called out your BS with my "main"?

Being King of the "internet cool" losers still makes you an "internet cool" loser.

And you're surprised when you put these people in an actual social situation they are incapable of restraint, tact and where you draw the line between edgy and hilarious vs offensive jerk wad?

Blaming alcohol? I'm 33 and I've been drunk more than my share of times. Alcohol doesn't make you do bad things, it makes you not care about the consequences of doing what you've wanted to do all along.

As for "playing an internet villain"?? Yeah, that's all role play right? It's not you acting out your real personality doing things that would get you punched on the street. It's the same thing as blaming the alcohol, you're not apologizing you're DEFLECTING. There is a difference.

It's you, we all know it. Don't apologize for your actions, apologize for being who you are. If you didn't know it and just realized, don't worry, we all did this whole time. Maybe up until this point your ego didn't let you see the truth, but the truth is you just have a crap personality and moral structure. You fail as a human being.

But you can succeed at internet space ship politics! I'm sure that gives someone as bankrupt as you some comfort.

Yeah, "apology" received. (not that I cared about the offense to begin with, or know all that many details about it)

Want to write a good apology? Log off the interwebs and write your mom a letter apologizing for wasting any potential she may have tried to give you.

Trying to save face here only makes you look worse, because everyone knows how insincere it is. Like you won't go out tomorrow and continue to drool and spew the drivel that makes you so "internet cool", encouraging the same uninspired unoriginal behavior out of your ilk.

ever wonder if he's one of those guys that makes fun of role players... irony no?

Everyone in favor of banning "Todes" for bullying put your hands up/like this post!

cyberbullying is saying something like that in a post on a forum but not getting thousands of people to harrass and goad another player into offing himself? Yeah you lack a sense of reality there bub

I can't believe The Mittani's 'PEOPLE' still insist on exercising a futile attempt at justifying this situation due to misplaced loyalty and misguided devotion.

Be forewarned, no good can come out of continuously pushing this issue, especially since real life legal ramifications could still materialize.

There is no justification for what happened. It has been dealt with. Now, It's gone beyond stupid into something sick. I can't believe a game ban for thirty days would lead to an "anti-gaming media" campaign where they try to remove unfavorable news coverage from the web by means of attack e-mails.
