Just my thoughts on this whole CSM Cluster****

Even though I personally do not like Goonswarm, does not mean that I do not think Mittens was the best man for the job for chairmen of the CSM. His track record from CSM6 has proven his value to the player base of this game. All of these people calling for more action against him, just need to harden the **** up. seriously what more do you want he can't participate in CSM7 at all even though he had the highest votes, he had to step down from CSM6 even though it is almost over who cares its still the principal of the matter, and on top of that he was given a ban for something that had happened outside the confines of the game.

He has owned his mistake, he has apologized to the playerbase and to the individual affected by the comments that were made. And what do i see in the forums day in and out since the news of this broke, Issler Dainze and Darius III acting like children and trying to form a mob to hunt mittens down and have him drawn and quartered for making a dumb comment. Seriously to the both of you add all the votes you got together and you still do not get anywhere near what mittens had received for CSM 7. So please do not pretend you speak for the playerbase when the majority has already spoken and not voted for you.

For mittens decision on resigning and his reasoning behind it I totally understand and respect him for doing so. But as for your actions Issler Dainze and Darius III, you have done nothing but breed more distrust in the CSM with the playerbase. You have hurt the position of the CSM, and honestly. If it was my call i would ask you both to step down but from all the self glorifying the both of you have been doing as of late I think it might be to much to ask of you.

Remember the CSM speaks for playerbase you should be trying to build our trust not destroy the trust we have already.

And just for the record i didn't Vote for Mittens I Voted for Trebor Daehdoow.

I agree with that message.

Things are done now, let's just sit back and see if that CSM is still good.

It doesn't matter if the guy was any good. He suicided by ego on a public stage and 10,000 plus people were rendered mute due to their own faith in a **** up. It is what it is. EVE... all tragically funny.

you do know that some american states have the death penalty for murder in the first degree?
30 days ban from EVE before things got out of hand is very lucky. No matter that a player "seems" an easy victim. That definitely doesn't makes things better.

You are right that 10058 votes will now go unheard, but that was not the point of my post. The point of my post is the fact that 2 of the remaining csm members have done nothing but acted like children and have breed distrust with a large portion of the player base. They have gone and made this issue much larger then what it needs to be, all because they do not like what the Goons do in game. I don't like what the Goons do in game but you don't see me holding a pitchfork and a torch and going on the hunt for blood.

This whole situation has just been blown way out of proportion, Yes he did something very very dumb but should he be prema banned for it no, the alliance panel is know for being a uncensored panel, and he acted like I would expect for the alliance leader of the goons.

Well its a good thing New Eden is not the in the american states and the comments were not said in the american states. There for he if he was to have been charged for something like this, it would be under Icelandic law.

This is just another moment I am happy I am not american, bring American law into an incident that A. didn't happen in the United States. B. No one was actually hurt from, Is just totally outrageous.

Eve is a video game where people get bullied daily, the only difference is that this one went out on a live stream, Mittens has since apologized and sent the "victim" over 10 billion isk. Give the guy a break already, the Gaming media has already dragged his real name through the dirt with there cyber bully bullshit.

You do know that it didn't happen because CCP stepped on the break?
You also know that this can be brought before court and might end up being 6 months to 20 years?
especially since the slide and opinion were made before hand, before being drunk?
especially since he seems very influentual with 10.000 votes? And people still backing him up?

A. I didn't vote for him but what is going on is just not right.
B. CCP would have no say if charges were to be laid they are a company not a court.
C. The slide was approved by a CCP dev prior to it being used as are all slide being used for fanfest.
D. The only issue is the comment that was made during the Q & A session, which has been apologized for.
E. None of this excuses the Gaming Media for dragging his real name through the mud.
F. Just to get back on point my issue is not with mittens it is with Issler Dainze and Darius III 2 elected CSM members for CSM 7 that are acting like children and dragging this issue way out of proportion.

Do they still hold witch burnings in Eve? They sure do and it seems the mob has gathered a mountain of wood for one.

The embarrassment of the incident being broadcast on a public live stream combined with The Mittani's apologies should have been enough. When he encouraged harassment of a certain individual it was done in a drunken stupor, a line was crossed and I'm sure he realizes that fact all too well.

Sad day though when almost immediately afterwards another line is crossed by several websites dragging The Mittani's real name through the mud and blowing the incident well out of proportions. Clearly some people are out to settle some old scores, but instead of getting personal in these regards it would be more honest to do so ingame, regardless of how polarizing a figure The Mittani might be.

The good news is that everyone has seen Issler's and Darius's true intent. It's to grandstand and selfserve at the expense of whomever shows a sign of weakness. Be careful other members of CSM7. It's your blood they are swimming for next.

Completely agree with OP. The major problem here is that Issler Dainze and Darius III have no real power base now that the Mittani is out. They are adrift and doing a poor job of filling the post Mittani vacuum with their own agenda. I never expected much from Darius as he seems incapable of rising above his role as Eve Court Buffoon but I thought that Issler Dainze would at least try to put the attention on her/his platform and make a legitimate power play.

The Mitanni must be rolling in his temp grave that none seem to have learned from his example. He was polarizing but the CSM was a singular unit under his leadership. They gave players comfort as an institution.

While I completely agree with the Mittani's ban and stepping down, it's sad that the competence of this incoming CSM has already suffered. We can only hope that Two Step can take the reins and bring them in or maybe someone could accidently leave some some space crack on Darius and get him banned.

Yes beware other members of the CSM don't get drunk and say stupid things in front of a camera. Good to see morals are so lowly thought of these days.

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

Are we really associating Darius with high moral standards? The guy that scammed people into selling votes for plex?
