CSM The Mittani's Misconduct Calls for Resignation - We Did It!

If The Mittani does in fact survive this, should I be impressed by his political/survival skills, or should I be disappointed that CCP failed to deal with the issue properly?

In the United States, if a lawyer were found to be this insulting towards someone, knowing full well that they were claiming thoughts of suicide and were claiming they'd go through with it, the lawyer would be having a little ol' BAR hearing if it was found out the lawyer acted improperly (i.e., insulting him and pushing him to actually perform the action of taking his own life). I'm rather curious as to how much it will suck for you if your local BAR (or whatever) found out...

It's called the Mittani Mandate.


And there are 450,000 paying subscribers... so The Mittani is a very very small fish in the scheme of things. :)

It is rather disappointing though, that such a small fish has caused such a scene for EVE across gaming news sites.

Sigh...I guess I need to actually find a video of these comments so I know what was *really* said.

Genuinely encouraging the harassment of suicidal players is certainly something CCP shouldn't allow. Online communities have saved the lives of suicidal people before, I'd hate for us to become the one that helped end one. But you have to take any such statement with a grain of salt: did Mittens *really* sound like that's what he wanted, or was it obviously a joke?

Sure the whole thing was in poor taste. That's par for the course for a Goon; if they didn't troll and **** off the rest of the universe, they wouldn't be doing their jobs.

some more facts just to shut up the people that are putting the CSM in the middle of this discussion


1 . this was a alliance panel, with alliance CEOs and he was there has the GSF ceo not has the CSM chairman
2. by this time mittens wasn't won nothing yet, results were only release the next day, during those 24 hours gap nobody said nothing, the alliance panel was fine and funny.... he wins and a couple of hours later all these threads and letters start to be sent to press...

Saying your going to commit suicide over a game is just asking to get mocked. Some kid killed himself over Runescape before and it generated much lulz over the interwebs. Another killed himself over losing an ipod.

Stupid people kill themselves over stupid things. Anyone threatening to kill themselves over a freaking video game probably wouldn't contribute much to the world anyway. The Mitanni should of trolled the guy by calling the cops and having him put in an asylum.
