The game rules don't make any distinction about where you release peoples real world information. It simply says doing so is actionable.

For example, opening a website to release EVE players real world information is also not allowed.

If not, then I'm going to the store to get some popcorn to snack on while watching the Drama unfold. (The US Republican party nomination process has lost most of its soap opera drama appeal, so I'm hoping the "CCP's Eve CSM Chairman Accused of Cyber-bullying/Harassment" news story fills the gap.)


[1] As it stands, you have to jump around in several threads to get enough context to get the facts behind the "scandal." It's clumsy and reeks of amateurism if it really is a "nutter" attack on Mittani.

Your point is null. Listen to the Alliance Panel and the former CSM presentation again. Mittani the Great said he is "mentally unstable." He knowingly and purposely asked thousands of players to send him mails to encourage his suicidal tendency.

It doesn't matter if he is mentally unstable or the brightest mind in the galaxy. The fact that CSM Chairman, who was supposedely elected to represent the best of EVE, inciting others to provoke this unfortunate player to commit suicide, while admitting that he is mentally unstable, is COMPLETELY DETESTABLE.

Encouraging any person to commit suicide in or out of game is a clear violation of the EULA, and many laws in most countries.

This sin't about bad poasting or forum rivalry. If you condone this you should seek help immediately. You are not healthy if you condone encouraging suicide.

Missing the point.

Whether the person is or is not ACTUALLY suicidal is utterly irrelevent.

INCITING that person (OR ANY PERSON) to commit suicide is reprehensible and wrong.

FYI, if you REALLY want to get CCP off their asses, you'll stage an unsub protest instead of this "call for resignation"..

That way, your vote with your wallet will encourage CCP to not allow any of this type of behavior which is a *bit* too prevalent in Eve....

Also, Mittani is the freaking **Chairman of the CSM**. Whether he realizes it or not, it is a chairman's job to manage the committee's public relations, otherwise the committee risks its authority.

If Mittani isn't up to it, then CCP needs to assign a handler to the CSM, implement a basic code of conduct, and have the CSM approve/agree to it.

This isn't rocket science.
