OH GOD WHAT DID I COME BACK TO?!

Back baby yeaaaaa

Well after much kerfuffle, and some forced AFK, I'm finally back online and leading this troupe of mentalists to disaster.

Recently I had the idea of having "co-ceo's". Basically, I have two people in our busiest timezones (EU and US) who are capable of running the corp in my absence, and have the authority to do whatever is necessary to keep things running smoothly. I'm happy to say this is working splendidly, and I didn't come back to any drama whatsoever. The corp has been active as usual, participating in fleets as usual, losing ratting tengus as usual and generally everything was the same as when I left.

Boooyaaaaaa

ZE WAR

So the TEST war machine rumbles on. -A- began retreating and so we followed them. We are literally the playground bully. It's all good fun. We're currently staging in HED-GP and getting some good fights with CVA.

There's talk about escalations to the war up North, and our possible involvement, but there's nothing concrete just yet.

MY TIME

We've done a little soul searching recently and questioned where we are currently. We've achieved many goals this year, most notably increasing our size to over 400. It has been felt that we have focused so much on certain areas that we've neglected others, and people feel our social structure is lacking somewhat.

So I'm currently working on our 'social revolution'. We're pretty social as it is anyway, so the above does make it sound worse than it is, but we've always been a heavily social corp so we're looking at ways of getting back some of the magic of last year. This started on Friday where we hosted our Friday night lights partAy on comms, for those of us nerds who have no real life friends. We got a little merry, said many inappropriate things we later came to regret, and we also gave away a billion isk in prizes. Our co-ceo Bob McFing sang me a song > http://soundcloud.com/kevin-wiljenietwe ... -54-33-176 < WARNING! Definitely NSFW lol.

Anyway, lots of things happening in ENL-I right now. Definitely a good time to join

Unrest in the wilds

Everybody hates each other

Test Alliance Please Ignore has a reputation, and it has that reputation for good reason; when we're not kicking the crap out of our enemies we're kicking the crap out of our friends, and when we're finished doing that we'll start kicking the crap out of ourselves. The main corporation in TEST, Dreddit, comes from the infamous forum Reddit, and so forum posting is a big part of TEST culture. Those that post on the forum are colour blind; they simply don't care whether you're blue, grey, orange or red, because if you do something stupid they'll destroy you.

For quite some time now ENL-I has been the bastard child of the alliance, the De Vito to Dreddit's Schwarzenegger. We are like the Jew in society, the ethnic group that takes the blame for whatever ills the country is facing at the time. We were not unfairly given this title in a sort of internet ****, we earned it by being some of the most self-regarded terrible nerds in this game. A position which would have made many other people hang their head in shame and seek professional help is to me a badge of honour, something I wear with pride. There's nothing more satisfying than seeing a member of another corp in TEST lose a terribly and expensively fit ratting ship to rats, with the comments to that loss being links to ENL-I's recruitment page.

But, my friends, there is trouble on the horizon. This place, this badge of honour, this notoriety, is under threat. Astonishingly there are people joining our coalition that are proving themselves to be worse than ENL-I. As I log onto the forums expecting more call out threads made about my corp, or to see posts by one of my members being given hundreds of downvotes which results in him sending me some emo-laden cut-wrists evemail asking why God has forsaken him, all I see is a sea of hatred against other non-ENL-I dudes.

I blame this on Sladislov leaving us. A man who joined an alliance famed for his forum posting culture, and "spiderman-derailed" an entire page of threads on the forum simultaneously, resulting in his immediate ban and angry mobs of jabber-whiteknights messaging me calling for his removal from the corp to which I simply replied ":)". But, he didn't just leave ENL-I and move on. No, he made a character called "Captain Lovescocke" which he gave to his "friend" who just happened to be in an alliance who have dedicated their lives to killing our ratters. So now, all over our intel channels, is "Captain Lovescocke in XXX". Cheers mate, thanks a lot.

What did I just read?

I felt like waffling on, boo hoo.

The corp is going really well at the moment. We've been doing a lot more corp ops, as well as joint ops with the Academy, and our activity and participation right now has increased massively. It's been a tough month PvP wise, which I guess is the result of being in one of the most powerful coalitions in EVE where everyone flees their home at the mere utterance of an interesting in invading it.

We're working on being more social, being on comms more, offering prizes for singing and what not. We're a fun corp, we're not a super serious elite PvP OMG DID U JUST LOSE A TENGU U KICKED M8 kind of corp. We're the sort of corp who has members that speak up on fleet comms and call Shadoo a ****** and ask him where he learned to FC, resulting in being placed on Pandemic Legion's kill on sight list permanently.

But we have direction. We're not just blindly trudging through life, we know what we're doing. Well, that's what I tell the peons, it keeps them happy.

It's getting hot in here, so take off all your clothes...

-A- has awoken

So, the TEST war machine has rumbled onwards - our autism knowing no boundaries - and we have decided to burn Esoteria. -A- had previously been given such a severe kicking they had simply deployed elsewhere and ignored our rampaging of their space. Now though, as we burn through someone else's space -A- have decided to come poke the hornets nest.

That sounds quite threatening, but truth be told our enemy are actually pretty decent PvPers and now they're not fighting a sov war they can pick and choose their fights - resulting in much more success on their behalf. Recently they've been fielding ahacs against us, a new 100mn fit, and they've pretty much spanked us. There's been a bit of a tussle, and we've managed to hold our own, but crap has definitely got more interesting recently.

God I love the marines

ENL-I is doing well at the moment. Participation is back up to good levels, and we're doing a lot more corp stuff too.

Last weekend I took out an Oracle roam, where we met up with our Academy folk, and had us a right old rumble with a huge 100+ RvB kitchen sink fleet. Our logi numbers were impressive, 7 (good for corp numbers aye), and RvB struggled to break our reps even with so many. Our tracking was awful, but we got there in the end. All in all we had over 50 in fleet, not bad for a corp roam.

Now is definitely a good time to join

Enjoying the good life

All quiet on the Western front

Well, it's been a while since my last update. Firstly, happy new year everyone, and I hope you all had a spankingly good Christmas.

I'm going to give a quick recap on what has happened recently, affecting life in ENL-I:

Basically, the Honeybadger Coalition (HBC), which TEST Alliance founded, took several regions including Delve, Catch, Querious and Period Basis. The fighting was fierce, the structure grinds were brutal, and it is now finally at an end. We now have several lucrative regions to earn money in, and can do anything from gas cloud mining, complex running, etc etc.

Now we are staging in HED-GP, which is a fantastic system for pvp. It borders highsec, so there are permanent gatecamps, and many roaming gangs come to HED because they know they'll get a fight. So small gang pvp is quite high at the moment, which everyone loves, and there's still big fights happening as our allies begin to bite more off than they can chew with our neighbours.

ENL-I Time

The corp is really active at the moment. There's a lot of small gang happening, including corp roams. We're doing everything, from nanhac fleets, oracle fleets, bombers, black ops, the list goes on. We're really versatile and have something to cater to everyone's tastes.

The Academy is still going well, and we're often joining up with them to go run some T1 cruiser gangs.

Industry wise, we build 20 dreadnoughts recently to be given away in our Xmas party, which was a massive undertaking. We're knocking out several capitals a week, and are about to begin supercap production.

We're doing lots of in-corp tournaments, with lots of prizes to be had.

There's always a big presence on comms too which is great.

Exciting developments incoming...

I can't say too much right now, but there's some exciting things on their way to ENL-I to make everyone's life here better.

Oof

So our 'forever war' with -A- came to an end today; the remaining major corps announced their departure from the alliance, effectively ensuring it's closure. The Maverick Navy are heading to Black Legion, and will no doubt be farming the CFC up in Venal. The Rus are heading to Solar, and some others are heading somewhere else. I have to be honest and say I never expected this. -A- have been a tough enemy to fight, with strong fleet comps and good numbers. So long o/

As for ENL-I, well what can I say? As usual, the corp is doing well. We've got a few secret plans in the works, which I can't talk about just yet, but everything is moving along just fine. Fleet participation is strong as usual, we're doing a fair amount of corp roams and tournaments, and we're very social, as usual.

HED-GP right now is amazing - we love living there! Dozens of hostile fleets roam there every day, with the Keberz gate being a constant source of amusement. PvP is a happy constant, and it's all day long so something for everyone. We're still getting big fights, with blops, bombers, rokh/apoc fleets regularly being fielded.

All in all life is pretty sweet in ENL-I.

Hello folks, remember us?

Wow! It's been a while since I made a corp update. January in fact! Why the delay? Well, we had some active campaigns so we closed recruitment but truth be told I've been focusing my efforts in some other areas and my blog posts were put on the back burner.

I'm finally getting on top of things now though, so expect to see my regular updates again.

So what has ENL-I been up to recently? Well, we went to Geminate to mess with Brick Squad (protip: Geminate sucks), and although they undocked more than Li3 did we found the whole experience rather depressing. During our campaign several hostile forces deployed to our home region, Delve, and began a vicious assault against our coalition (the HBC) so we were recalled home - we like to think we rode like white knights to the rescue of our alliance. (NOTE: others would argue against that).

Get Off My Lawn

Did I really just use the name of an alliance as the title of this section? One who weren't even in Delve? Oh dear, yes I did but it fits.

The Goons, the Ruskies and the, errr, I can't really say "Blacks" so I'll go with the Black Legions, all deployed to various points around our home region and began assaulting us. Goons brought a lot of good fights straight to our front door, whilst also cloaky camping our ratters. Black Legion staged in low-sec and began sieging our money towers, and after -A- collapsed a new entity was born: Darkness of Despair, who also encompass the remnants of Gypsy Band, a very more than capable alliance, and they started hitting our assets in Stain and Esotaria.

Not only this but our beloved Pandemic Legion decided to take a break from life in the coalition and so we, TEST, were left to defend our several regions of space from highly experienced and organised aggressors on three different fronts - don't worry, I don't blame you, we all thought we would fail too.

But no, fail we did not, push back our aggressors we did and oh my god where did Yoda come from?

We welped repeatedly. We suffered from internal strife. But our autism proved strong and we did what TEST does best; throw several hundred people at a problem till it goes away. And it did go away. We proved victorious insomuch that our enemies got sick of being outnumbered a bazillion to one and left. Yaaay.

Joking aside, many believed without Pandemic Legion that TEST would falter, would lose its strength and that the HBC as a whole would suffer. This led to feelings that should PL leave the HBC for whatever reason we would collapse - hell, I believed that myself. But this assault on the HBC and our subsequent survival and dominance shows that even without PL we are a powerful force, if a little unstable.

The CFC

I'm sure many of you reading this will know of the 'other' coalition in the game, the CFC, which is led by the Goons. You may or may not be aware that TEST was once a member of this coalition but, wanting to find our own path in the game, left and formed our own coalition: the HBC. Since our departure relations with the CFC have deteriorated and there has even been a lot of talk about war.

Most line members want a war, because we feel it would generate a lot of content. Either sides leadership doesn't want that to happen because the reality of such a war makes you want to tear your eyes out and poor lemon juice into the wound (possibly with some Tequila to get this party started).

What is the reality? I believe it was Shadoo who summed it up. With current sov mechanics, if the Goons were to completely abandon their space it would take the HBC a minimum of 6 months just to grind through structures. If Goons didn't evac but stayed, the war would last approx 2 and a half years.

I think you'll agree that those figures are quite frightening.

The fact of the matter is, a sov war of this magnitude would most likely burn out the majority of both coalitions, mostly in upper leadership circles. Hence why it is so important we put people into the CSM to picket for change, because without a major change to sov mechanics I doubt we'll see another major war for a long time.

Enlightened Industries, Please Ignore

So ENL-I is doing well. We've now surpassed 500 members, even without updating our recruitment threads, and we regularly have upwards of 70 members online. We're still number 2 on the TEST KB, 2nd only to Dreddit and this month we've had over 3000 kills, which sees us sitting in 12th place on EVE-Kill's Top 20 Corps.

Away from KB statistics, ENL-I indy is building a lot of capitals and helping out immensely in the coalition logistics wise. We're also very socially active, always on comms chatting about nothing and we have an Easter party tonight which will see us get drunk, try to sing some Gangsta rap and generally have fun.

We've deployed to X-7O, which is in Pure Blind, and have had fun killing Goon ratting carriers and making FA mad. FA are so mad they've decided to hellcamp our station; we'll see how long that lasts.

Bob by to ENL-I for a chat today!

Pulled in all directions

Good morning gentle-nerds!

I won't be writing a huge update this time around; you're probably still in shock after my last one. I just wanted to write a few quick words about what ENL-I is currently up to.

Nullsec has become a little stagnant as of late, and to combat our boredom we've deployed to several different regions which has resulted in a varied and active PvP roster. We're in Pure Blind right now taking cloakies, SFIs and talwars into CFC space. We're in Fountain battling the Bulgarian menace with the Frenchies. We're hitting lowsec Aridia and we're also deployed to HED to battle the russkies. It's great to be able to provide so many different types of PvP to my members, and most people have ships in every deployment zone and they just pod to the appropriate station when a fleet goes up.

We've got some big changes coming to ENL-I soon. Our website wizards are currently working on a brand new custom coded auth system which will pave the way for new interactive services for the corp. We will have a brand new forum (the current beta looks awesome!), new auth squads and we're also getting a brand new ENL-I.com! We are expanding our staff team and really shaking things up.

Nullsec may be stagnating, but we're staying on our toes for when the new patch arrives which promises to throw nullsec into turmoil!
