Not Eve, but I thought i would share...

Was playing Fallout3 a lot when it forst came out.

On my commute to work one day i was walking down some staris att the train station and I caught myself reaching down to pickup a beer bottle top that was lying on the ground.

Jint Hikaru - Miner / Salvager / Explorer / SpaceBum In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Doesn't just apply to EVE. But I have been known to say 'laugh out loud' rather than actually laughing.

I don't know if I ever said 'ganked' in an out-of-EVE context but it is often a slip of the tongue away.

Was at a wedding reception. Wanted to go grab a cig (and nip my flask). Told the folks, "I'm gonna loop. Be right back." Realized I'd said it halfway to the car. When I got back, the lawyer in the group said, "How was your loop?" Raised eyebrows all around. I didn't try to explain. (Maybe it'll become the next fad!)

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

In that vein I've called money "gold" and "silver" a few times (thanks to way too much time spent playing BG2), I guess the main reason was the amount of confusion we had with the introduction of the Euro back then (around 2002, so before EVE was out even), so my cash calling habits were kinda off...

Came across a fatality accident and w/o thinking I said "I hope his clone was current". My wife looked at me and said "I know you didn't just say that!" Oops

Another time I was watching a High Speed chase on TV and when the police rammed the guy I said "Dude just got Concorded!" Another one of those face palm moments for me as my wife told me "you play too much EVE".

I won't say you are stupid, but you're not exactly on the Zombie menu either.

My wife was picking me up from work one day and then I drove us back home. When we got close to the edge of town she announces, "Watch out, Concord is camping the out gate."

Sure enough, a police radar trap was setup just around the bend.

(She obviously plays too, and thinks wife aggro is funny)

Today in fact.. I was sleeping next to my girlfriend and apparently started shouting something about a myrmidon. She then asked me what I meant to which I replied "drone boat, OBVIOUSLY?!"

Wife aggro, I have just given up trying to not say it.

Sorting recycling has been to referred to "reprocessing" in company emails.

And on a related note, there is a guy with a Subaru in the company parking lot with the license plate 'Fenrir'.

Ganking shows up all over.
Most often, it's the habit of my cow-orkers to pop out of their offices like trap-door spiders to grab and consume a slice of your day; "Maryanne was camping the breakroom corridor, I nearly got ganked."

Yeah, a number of us play EVE here, and those who don't have been dragged along, willy-nilly. Even though they don't know exactly what they're saying, they've got the general context right, at least.

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.
