The fact that Goons truly believe people hate them and aren't just indifferent to their existence.

Tried that. It's overrated and causes more headaches than it's worth.

Then you're doing it wrong.

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

Didn't vote? Then you voted for NulBloc

Nerds telling me to run EVE Online PC Version under Ubuntu Linux, and then me actually doing it, feeling oddly elated later.

I was approaching "HACKERS" movie levels of propaganda in my mind too, I was like able to configure some commands in terminal and actually managed to run extra lines of commands to add further stability (all of this off a web guide I found which I copied verbatim). Telling people about it and when no one understood feeling even better and more elated.

HACK THE PLANET!!!! woooohooo!

meh

This must stop. George Takei has called for Space Peace, ”for there is an ominous mutual threat to all science fiction. It’s called Twilight and it is really, really bad.”

Well.. I once started a convo in my NPC corp about sci-fi since I was watching farscape. Now I like sci-fi, it's my favourite genre despite not being the most fashionable or popular as it used to be. Anyway, what followed was a heated 6 hour debate between those who love star wars, star trek, babylon 5, firefly and for some reason lord of the rings. The debates revolved around what ship would win in a duel, who is the most powerful Jedi/Sith lord and some obscure bits of lore. One thing I did find though, is that calling someone a nerd while playing internet spaceship isn't very effective.

That is awesome ^_^

I think I'm too indoctrinated in the geek/nerd world to even notice if something hits a 'normal' person's radar as "geeky" anymore.

Thank god though, we're far, faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar from 'normal'! ;)
