When do they occur?

Some time ago I thought it happened twice a week.
Now, I don't know.

The asteroid belts are functioning properly.

End user needs more research skills....check the down time info

They respawn daily now?
Wow, am I ever out of the loop on that one.
I guess there will be enough low end minerals available to make up for the loss of drone poop and meta 0 items.

In theory at least. I still believe that CCP is completely missing the boat when it comes to estimating the resolve of people to mine in high sec, especially in the face of increased suicide attacks.

They respawned daily back when Apocrypha came out, probably a long time before then too.

Somewhere in '09 or so is when it changed. I know that back in '07/'08 we used to specifically track which ores respawned on which days so that we could scarf them up on those days.

But that was back when Omber was the darling of hi-sec ores.

Belts respawn every day at downtime..

I've been told 3 days a week they spawn bigger than normal, but I can't say as I've noticed, and don't remember exactly which days..

From my investigation it firstly depends on the sec status of the system. For sure i can tell you highsec, 0.8:

Monday: 1/3 spawn (rocks have 1/3 size of a full spawn)
Tue-Thu: Full spawn
Fri: 1/3 spawn
Sat, Sun: Full spawn.

Hope this helps.

If they are mined out early in the day (DT), they start re-spawning during the afternoon (+8 hours).

Also, those that have re-spawned will indeed 'grow' throughout the day. I see the mineral amounts suddenly inflate on my Survey Scanner all the time.

I've only seen random amounts appear. Where is some linkage on this, as nobody was able to find ANY documentation in a similar thread not 6 months ago ?

I posted observed speculations above, but you seem awfully sure of those stats..............

For the first this is no speculation, this is fact as i regulary do mining while i´m working.

And i can remember times when:

Mo: 1/3 spawn
Tue: 2/3 spawn
Wen: Full spawn
Thu: like Mo
Fri: like Thu
Sat, Sun: full spawn

This is not so long ago, probably a year or so. And the guy above saying that if a belt is outmined early it will respawn 8 hour later, is just plain wrong, did´nt see that once.

I dont have any official resources where to pick data from, maybe if Tau Cabalander shows up in this thread, he can bring some light to it, as he is very competent when it comes to "mining".

Then you do not mine enough.

Take your exacting and 'year old' statistics, and denial of my over 2 years of extensive mining, and shove it up there.

They should move it up to once a week and they really need to reduce the yield of ice roids. Never see anyone move in a ice roid field.

Ok dear sir, no need to get rude!

As long as you are NOT talking GRAVIMETRIC SITES in known space or Wormholes, where it´s possible to get a respawn quick if you are lucky, but talking regular belt respawn, please be so kind to tell me ONE system, where you have observed this.

I will investigate and test it, and if you are right, you´ll get my apologies right away.

mostly pure BS in teh answers here, they have never actually observed the regeneration mechanics. I know them, but to be honest why should i give up this valuable information without a substantial reward.

No one else will actually tell u on the forums, so i suggest u find a nice quiet belt and eat a roid and observe its regen over the next few days and then eat it at various intervals till u have the data to work it out.

already dead, just haven´t fallen over yet....

They are not missing the boat, there is plenty of belts in lowsec.
