Hello there

I came up with an idea of setting up a POS in 0.5 system somewhere in space and I runed in many questions wich I cant answer myself, so i came here in hope of some help.

Well what i basicaly would like to know is if someone else for example set me up the POS is only pos transfarable, or i do have to move one character in that corp lately to keep the POS? If that is a must, can i move in like really low skilled char, with mby anorching lvl3 and nothing else? Can I lately no matter on standing I have on that char anorch new modules and offline/online old ones and new ones?

So basic idea is that i would like to have POS in hi sec space, but i dont have a corp with requited standings on my own...If anyone have any good ideas how could i settle that problem, i would be really gratefull if you share them with me

Cheers, quiet

POSs belong to corporations and not characters. So if a POS is launched and anchored for a corp it will then always belong to that corp and characters within that corp will need necessary roles to access, fuel, and manage that POS.

Corp standing services (check the sell order forum) can work around this and provide further guidance should you not have standings yourself.

Once the POS tower is anchored, the anchoring and onlining of further modules do not require the corp to have faction standings. POS tower is anchored when corp has faction standings, if those standings later slip this does not stop the addition/subtraction of modules.

Oh there is one more thing that i forgot to ask. For example that i wana invent and copy blueprints and i gota settle pos up. If i do anorch it in system that does not have station in it, can i have blueprints in station 1 or 2 jumps away and still start jobs on my pos, or is it neccesary to for POS to be in same system as station with blueprints?

Train up Scientific Networking I believe that allows you to run jobs remotely.

The POS *must* be in the same system as the blueprints (either the blueprints can be in the POS labs themselves - not great if POS gets nuked - or blueprints can be in a corp hangar in an NPC station in the same system as the POS).

Scientific Networking skill lets you remotely manage jobs within the same region at a range dictated by the Scientific Networking skill - ie. you can install/deliver jobs when you're sat in a different system (but same region) but the blueprints must be in the same system as the POS.

I have grinded missions for 3 days to get my Caldari State to level 7.

I have discovered that my standings alone are not sufficient to anchor the tower because the corp itself has a very low standing which prevents me from putting up a tower.

My question is.... If i create a solo corp and I have standings of +7, how long will it take for the corp to reflect those standings?

Do I need to grind missions again in the new corp?

It has been 4 days and corp still shows neutral, no standings towards Caldari State.

Disclaimer: I have done a search for these answers, to include a petition (that was never responded to) and have gotten various answers and am just not sure what is actually accurate

The rule for corporate standings are:

- Take the unmodified standings value of everyone who has any standings at all who have been in the corp for at least 7 downtimes and average them together each day.

People without any standings at all do not count. People with 0.00 standings *do* count. If it shows up in the character sheet, that player counts towards the average.

The fast move is to boot everyone out of the corporation who is dragging down your standings. Do this just before down-time, then reinvite them after down-time. That buys you 7 days to anchor the tower (or towers).

For starting a solo corp from scratch It takes 7 days. After the 7th down time after you made the corp your base standings(not modified by skills) will become the corp standings. After that you can invite whoever you want and the new members will not affect standings until they have been in corp for 7 days. Done this several times myself.

Occasionally it bugs and you need to run a single story line mission while in corp to kick start it. Personally I never have, just wait 7 down times from when you made corp and you are good to go.

Thanks so much for the responses.

Since I already started a new corp with the character 4 days ago Im going to ride it out a few more days.

I am assuming that the character cannot then rejoin the original corp since the tower is corp owned right?

all good.. thanks so much

The big drawback with the tower in another corp:

Your alliance mates (assuming you do the alliance thing) will only be able to do ME/PE research at the labs. Nothing which requires output that ends up in a POS array or lab works cross-crop (no invention, no copies, no manufacturing etc). Only players who belong to the same corp as the tower can do that type of research/manuf.

I have to contradict this statement. As i had tried it in January, and it did not work. I asked a Dev why not...

"Blueprints that are inside a structure can't be installed for jobs remotely. It doesn't work in this way. They have to be in a station corp hangar which is in the same system as the POS."

"Putting the blueprints in a station corp hangar is one prerequisite for installing jobs remotely. It's the only way. I'm afraid that corp hangar arrays don't work."

In order to remotely start a research job, the blueprints MUST be in the corp hanger of an NPC station in the same system as POS. It will not work any other way (remotely). Only other alternative is to sit at POS and work jobs w/ each blueprint in each lab.
