One of the biggest issues I see in null sec is logistics.

For older players its easy, everything can be tech II or common meta 4s, and you can jump most of the things down yourself.

However new players general use meta / tech II combo fits and usually end up begging people to jump ships or flying them down.

Because there are few pipes into null sec space, this results in two things.

1. 70% of them are camped at any time.
2. A lot of new players quickly getting discourage at the huge difficulty of replacing ships.

I propose adding about 10 new low sec systems.

Each system would access to..

-Two low sec systems
-One null sec system, not previously accessible from low sec.
-At least 2 stations.

I would hope this could get more people to null sec by creating more non-capital staging areas.

Snappy comeback, but what about newer and smaller corporations trying to get a foothold?

While I agree with the OP, its more complicated than that. I know those who live in null-sec right now won't agree, but its staggering how many people are just sitting in empire running missions or mining, and missing a huge potential part of the game. I know, its their right to do so, but why not find a way to open it up? There should be more to 0.0. than just giant alliances and player sov.

Some other issues-

0.0 has the reputation of being only for large organized corps that fight huge fleet battles, or cloaky pirates that catch strays.

While null-sec is fine for said organized larger corps, not everyone plays in those. There are many solo players, and many small corps that just cannot win past the gangs of gate campers with bubbles all around. After a few one-sided losses, they give up.

Another issue is the whole risk-reward for 0.0, for those who currently live in empire space. Why go lose a 200+ hulk for only a minor gain anyway, when hi-sec is so lucrative for mining?

Exploration, research, PI, and construction all supposedly are better in 0.0, but tough to justify right now. Maybe if they were even more so, and perhaps even things that aren't available in empire.

I'd love rare stuff that only occurs in 0.0, maybe not a giant mutant space goat, but some events that only occur there.

My suggestions-

- add a lot more gates to null-sec, would minimize camping
- adjust materials to make mining more valuable in 0.0
- make more things that can only be researched, etc out in 0.0
- more archaelogy/hacking/exploration stuff
- more NPC sov, creating more potentially accessible areas

In short, give more incentive to go there, and make it more accessible.

Thats a nice answer for more of the same. The whole point is how can we get more people out there, not just "your corp is too small so suck it".

Apparently CCP does not agree with you -its been the topic in multiple dev logs - for example CCP Soundwave's dev blog where he comments about:

* Is 0.0 industry currently geared to support the population living there?
* Is the relationship between 0.0 and empire balanced well enough?
* Does the current sovereignty system meet our goals?
* Are there enough incentives for conflict/pvp outside sov?
* Are we happy with movement/player interaction?

There have been other dev comments about "getting people out of empire to visit 0.0" as well.

Sorry that you are happy with the way things are, but the game needs to evolve or die.

the problem with getting people to 0.0 is its impossible for existing corps/alliances to go to nullsec without being renters ( aka 3rd class citizens)
as a single person trying to get into a 0.0 alliance u have to be usually very good, always go to CTA's and other BS that most people don't want to deal with.
oh and chances are its a scam or you will die on the way down there.

thats only if dumb enough to trust goons really. Soon as people realize they are just like pl in that you need a 100% guaranteed real deal leadership friend inside hookup with them saying yes you are in the club or you are getting screwed that scam would fall off the vine.

Gate camps and limited paths....stop using eve automap. Download ombeve maps. Already lots of ways to get around in this game, you need to research them in rl. Here is a secret of gankers revealed for free. They use that same automap feature. they plot courses from common gateways, see chokepoints and set up shop. Ombeve maps will show the back ways in autopilot mapping won't. Longer trip, may still hit camps but it a small chance they won't be pro insta death camps (they are usually on the gates autopilot map gives out). Lots of ways to get to x-7 for example that are way safer than ec- gate. Longer journey, but one that can actually be made in one piece with luck and skill.


Blobbers have been unable to squash all the non-space holding corps and alliances in 0.0.....its not impossible. Not sure how to do this might want to research the skirmish alliances and corps that live out there. Maybe run with them a bit, cut your teeth with some good guidance. Not saying you have to, but it be advisable. these skirmishers aren't the blob. Hell, most only hit pos' to bait fights, and that's when really bored.

True for some things, not so for others. Depends on location I imagine. Like PI can be very good source of income in nul versus lets say mining nul. Both can be profitable if you are careful and avoid losing ships. From what I have heard, most ppl in nul kill pve ships so like sanctums etc; others pvp those players for their loot, which can also be very profitable.

More npc null sec and a few more access points would be good additions. I'm not sure it would really lure anyone new out but those are things that are just needed since eve has grown so much over the years.

maybe you guys should find alliances that aren't terrible? Try TEST, or talk to your friendly goonwaffe recruiter.
