Maybe you should go and tell CCP Soundwave then he's naughty as well. Problem though is that Ideas&Features is a swamp and doesn't suit my main purpose of trying to get people to help me with maintaining this project. A purpose that IS allowed on the General Discussion board. It just happens to have some overlap (and a lot more visitors because of it).

I actually came in here thinking that this entire thread would be complete rubbish and I'd just troll a little but I'm actually pleasantly surprised, I'm actually sitting here agreeing with nearly all of those changes.

The ONLY one I disagree with is the deletion of skillpoints in any way or form. Not only can it result in the destruction of hacked accounts but it is completely unnecessary other than for those OCD sufferers that feel they need to perfect there skill list, don't like it, start over with a new account and train only what you intend to perfect Roll

I do not see much use in your project, because it misses one important point - the frequency of a wish. Listing all wishes in a few posts usually means that not all will get listed and it ends up being your own wish list.

This project of yours is huge work and I honestly respect someone taking such big task. After all currently available "wish list"-data about improvements/changes has been gathered to one place, CCP should reward you with few PLEX or something. I believe that this work will seriously cut down work from many of their own employees in longer term.

It is obvious that list like this will contain plenty of various stuff. Some of it will be good, some not so good. Thing what matters is that now it will be easy to browse and prioritize to provide better EVE experience for us all.

● Add ‘corporation missions’ that need cooperation of multiple player and benefits primarily the corporation (by standings and other means) Sort of what L5 missions should have been at some point in history
● Add player ‘mercenary’ contracts for causing a certain corporation a certain amount of isk in damages, or removing specific POS or POCO structures
● During a war allow both sides to attempt to lower the standings of the another corporation towards a NPC corporation (lke the one’s station they are hiding in) by doing missions or similar. Not easy, but if they can get the enemy to -5 the NPC will no longer allow access to that corporation and its members (though they can compensate to some degree with personal standings) to the NPC’s facilities for at least the duration of the war. This could possibly also be used to take over office slots
● Allow opening the map in a window
● Give the Deep Space Transports +2 warp core stabilizers per level in the skill ‘transports’

My personal experience with a project like this is that initially it's really hard to get going, but once people realize you're not going anywhere and you keep updating, it starts to become big, really fast.

Lucky for me at some point I've written down most ideas so I can start skipping them. Sadly I'm nowhere near that point yet. I estimate I'm still writing down a good 50% of the posts I'm still sifting from CCP Soundwave's thread (and I've only dug through 15 to 20% of it by now). And I haven't even touched the other threads yet.

Simply that alone, tells me this just needs to be done, because quite a few of these are insanely good, simple or at least very interesting. I do add some ideas I might not agree with, and not all are top-notch. But I think being with EVE for nearly a decade, should entitle me to at least a some judgement call when it comes to separating the really bad ideas.

I sure hope I get some dev attention at some point. Some blue tags could really get this thing going.

They are the first 20 or so corp management related items on this list.

SMALL THINGS!

● Add full documentation for everything corp management related
● Editable automated mails when someone applies, is accepted, leaves or is removed
● Corp adverts should be renewable like regular bills
● Add URL, channel, contact person and to corp adverts
● The ability to search corp application for a name, delete/remove/send message in bulk
● Enable auditing of recruitment, role assignment and kicking members
● Add column ‘date last active’ to the ‘find member’ in the roles screen
● The ability to save queries in the roles screen
● The ability to paste/import/drag&drop a list of member names in a text box and apply specific changes to them
● The ability to expel multiple members at once
● The exclusive ability for a CEO to remove a member without the 24 hour cooldown
● More title slots
● More granular roles (i.e. split roles so posting events on the calendar is not the same as editing corp announcements)
● Allow corporation research and corporation jobs to take and deliver items from and to a player’s hangar
● The ability to hand out medals to anyone, not just people in your corporation and edit/change/remove them
● ‘Corporation Certificates’, so large corporations can track what their members have done in game

● Option to simply ‘add to fleet’ for pilots. These, together with pilots that applied through the fleet advert get added to a special ‘unassigned’ foldout column right of the fleet structure sorted by names and individually scrollable. From here they can easily drag& dropped into appropriate positions in the fleet structure or put back into, as the sidebench
● As long a fleet or squad as the capability to add one more of that specific type, show this by greyed out empty slots where fleet members can be dragged into to fill that place (automatically creating a new ‘empty slot’ if possible) link
● Don’t resize local and corporation channels when stacked with a lot of other channels, so the number of people in that channel stays visible
● Allow custom colors for the titles of channels
● Allow dragging items from the the assets window into a ships cargo or into containers in the hangar
● Option to drag the eve-clock from the neocom into text to create a timestamp, hold shift for a datestamp instead
● Enable putting notes on corporations
● Enable the ‘rightclick in empty space’ context menu when either the system or the galaxy map is opened
● Save eve-mails you’re typing into drafts, with autosave feature to prevent losing work when accidentally closed
● Option for a medium sized flashing arrow on the sizes of the screen to quickly locate the selected locked target out of view

"You have failed to jump because you are cloaked." while flying in a DST from gate to gate. Happens constantly. If you drift into 2km while slowing down (often), you will de-cloak and sit there, resulting in hilarious spam-clicking of the Jump key. If you're still outside of the jump range, you have to approach. The main point is that the Jump key to initiate a warp+jump doesn't accomplish that task many times while in the ships that were built to let you warp around cloaked.

2)

Selecting multiple contacts and EDITing them lets you change their standing, but not whether they are on your watch list. That one little checkbox is missing on the multiple edit window. "Send notification" is also missing but I'm guessing most people rarely use that anyway.

Most annoying thing of the week: You failed to dock/jump because you are cloaked (in your Deep Space Transport).

● Allow new groups on the Neocom to be named
● Enable deleting bookmarks from the list by selecting them and pressing Delete
● Allow comparing different ships hulls in the comparison tool
● Combine the various entries for damage resistances in the attribute tab of the ship information window into a single line for shield, armor and structure each. This would bring down the required entries from 12 to 3.
● Combine the line of dronebay and drone bandwith into a singlle entry
● Option for each individual Neocom button to set it’s blinking settings
● Make it so compact view of the member lists still shows the standing and the GCC

● Allow issuing corporation ‘poll’ votes (so that just pose one or more questions) to all its members (maybe allow it for entire alliances as well, but only by the CEOs of its member corporations). But give players to block these polls (auto-abstain)
● Allow fleet bosses to activate an activity/ready check poll. This will give enable a button on the fleet panel which fleet members can click. Everyone who clicks it appears in a separate list viewed by the fleet boss, giving him a quick count, untill he closes the window or deactivates the check by clicking the button again.

Mechanics (bt)

● Allow players to pay for getting their security status back to 0 (expensive and with diminishing returns)
● Enable renting out POS slots to other people, also outside the corporation, allow restriction by standing
● Keep all cosmos missions, make the cosmos items slightly better then T2 (very limited supply and prices similar to T2 are not even close to worth the effort for most items, with few exceptions). Reduce the payout, make them repeatable every 3 or 6 months and make them the main vehicle for players to repair their (negative) faction standing or improve it to some level (not too high).

I don't don't agree with every proposed change, but then that's not the point.

Managing a to do list this size requires a lot of effort.

So well done. I applaud the intent.

Neither do I. Lol and thanks!

But my/our purpose here is just to collect them (leaving out the really silly ones) and compile them.
The agreeing part is really up to CCP anyway (and perhaps the CSM a bit as well)

I have no problems with discussing what I do or do not think are good ideas or what should be improved, but not on this list.

While I could really use some more editors, every bump or like will be helpful to make this something that will last and become more useful then the feedback-threadnoughts, the cesspool assembly hall and the wasteland of the idea forums.

Well, that was quite a read! I have read through the entire thread and I believe the following ideas have not been mentioned. They're not major points but they cause me annoyance on a daily basis. Apologies if I missed these being mentioned:

Fitting:

1. Being able to swap out saved ship fits from a designated Station Warehouse (or other container), rather than having to drag all the modules out to the items window.

Industry & Research:

2. Similarly, being able to manufacture using blueprints and materials located in a designated Station Warehouse, rather than having to drag all the required materials out to the items window.

Character Management:

3. Being able to train more than one character at a time on the same account. But wait. I have a twist on this. Imagine your total training time = 100%. It would be fantastic if we could split that training time say 70% / 15% / 15% between the 3 characters on the same account. Currently, we're forced to login/logout/login, etc to manage training queues. This idea would not give you any extra training timer per account, but it would remove some of the pointless annoyance of managing training queues.

Interface:

4. Return the option of having text descriptions (eg. Items, Assets, Wallet) under, or instead of, Neocom icons.
