You can use plex to upgrade your account. what you cannot do is buy from a contract. I would recommend that you head to jita and buy your plex there.

Im a bit confused by all of this, can someone clarify for me please.

With the buddy invite, does the account you make with the invite sent HAVE to be upgraded to a full account to recieve the ISK? I want to get in on this but I want the money for the character I am posting from right now.
