Dear DUST 514 Beta Testers

Recently, there has been a spate of instances where individuals participating in the DUST 514 Closed Beta have breached their NDA. We would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that as part of the DUST 514 Closed Beta, accepting and adhering to the NDA is a legally binding requirement that all DUST 514 Closed Beta participants have agreed to.

We understand and appreciate your enthusiasm for DUST 514. After all, it isn’t every day that one has the opportunity to participate in a ground breaking event that bridges two gaming platforms to create a new MMO genre. However, it is equally important that everyone follow the terms and conditions of the NDA so that we may protect the integrity of the DUST 514 Closed Beta testing phase. If you are not familiar with or do not recall the NDA, here’s the link to the on-line location of the NDA.

Going forward, we will continue to enforce the NDA to its fullest measure and any Closed Beta participants found in breach of the NDA will receive a permanent ban on their DUST 514 account(s), without exceptions. We realize and value the time and efforts from all of you participating in the DUST 514 Closed Beta to make DUST 514 a great MMO experience to the world and we wish to see all of you continue to contribute in this regard. Thank you.

This is only your fault, giving beta key for random people who even don't know what dust 514 is or apply for it ....fail..

Actually, I think the bigger fear should have been the piles of bloggers (or news sites that might as well be blogs) who were given press passes as well as beta keys.

Maybe next time don't hand out beta keys to media bloggers, and give them to the REAL player base.Big smile

You need to take this up with Sony. It's pretty disappointing to be an Eve Fan, to be a Fan-Fest Attendee, to have been waitng for months for access to the beta, to be really excited about it .....

And then have Sony hand out Beta keys to a bunch of people who dont give a s***t about your product.


Reminding us all here that others are breaking the NDA, when most of us dont have acess to the beta just rubs salt into the wound.

Sony's decision to bypass CCP and give acess to non eve players does leave a bitter taste.

You can tell the NDA is very important because 8 people have looked at the videos. Dead before it drew it's first breath.

you got a damn cheek .... most the people in the fooking beta are not even eve players .... i got my beta key from fanfest and still cant use it on the damn site.

so take this up with your sony overlords.

That's the thing about Sony betas. They seem to be sent out randomly. There are probably people getting keys that have no interest in the game and don't even know what Eve Online is. This happens with a lot of their betas. Sometimes you need to be a Plus member. Sometimes a Qore member. Sometimes the beta, depending on the game, is just in the store for everyone.

OK so now im curious how many of the 5000 players will actually be interested .... and if its significantly less than 5000 how is this supposed to be a "stress test"....
