so when the source is cut off, each unique type of shiny is going to become collectors items -
some will get refined in ignorance, lots will remain in storage waiting the wait for the item to appreciate.
some collectors will invest sums to pile up a mountain of shiny like a dragon in it’s lair. others will see it as another Avrue’s Token and OCD it out of their holds asap.

but if you are anything like me you wish CCP would get round to putting new meaning into old obsolete database items instead of deleting them off in misguided efficiency. It's not that black and white.

So, my tentative suggestion is that the CSM prompts CCP to review obsolete items and give them artifact status. That is to say; give them similar properties to items obtained by archaeological analyzer.

So done poo - at some stage - will have additional value as an invention facilitator.

Just as suggestion if it pleases you debunk in your usual robust style.
