-10 in empire in a SHIP with no navy giving chase

Yes i used CAPS in a SHIP on purpose because every time i ask this question i get asked "are they in pods because faction navy dont shoot at pods." there getting that possible troll out of the way, Ive asked GMs, Eve Help channel, and Eve Uni which has all proved useless and the same questions fore mentioned.

How is it there is there is a ton of pilots in empire space IN A SHIP mainly a destroyer waiting to gank with a SECURITY STATUS of -10.0 and are in no way being engaged by EMPIRE navy. when i refer to EMPIRE i mean 0.5-1.0 as Ive also been asked "Were they in empire?"

For example I was sitting in Teonusude with a corp brought in 11 destroyers and proceeded to begin pushing AFK Marauder pilots 500KMs off of a stargate there to gank them. Than ofcourse you have your groups in destroyer teams sitting around trade hubs that are also -10 for hours on end and no one has a rhyme or reasoning for this yet other pilots i know of the second they jump into empire are engaged on the spot by NPC navy Forces. Does any one have an explanation other than to tell me to go shoot them because every time i see a Red -10 im in a ship that doesnt have weapons but when i am in a ship with weapons their no where to be seen....

Isn't this like the 4th post this week on this particular subject? You obviously don't know how Navy faction works. I can fly a nano HURRICANE in highsec and the Navy won't spawn additional ships until I land on my out gate. Navy is slow to react. That's just how it works. I guarantee you that no -10 or Outlaw player is going to dawdle on gate for long though, because having to deal with Navy, while manageable, is a pain the the ass because not only do you have to try to kill off the scramblers but you'll have more Navy spawning on you and the occasional player who wants to try to get in on the killmail.

So, that being said, we all know about this. It is nothing new. I wish this thread could just be locked to keep you from looking more uninformed than you already are.

Not necessarily true. They all have a chance to scram, though they usually web first and thus send you into a blissful warp much faster :)

And concord should also deal with those pesky hisec incursions, its crazy to think that they dont. That would teach sansha to be an evil wanted terrorist/pirate/tyrant.

Sure all teh incursion runners would cry like 3 year old who got spanked but from an in game perspective that is exactly what should happen...

Trust me, I almost know what I'm doing.

People have been yelling that since release. Concord warps in to deal with players in the incursion then sit around playing grab ass while sansha ships are right there. Kills immersion for me Sad

The navy ships will shot any outlaw ship if they are spawned already. They will not spawn for any outlaw to jump into the system. As any gate spawn you can pull them from one gate to another by repeatedly warping to the gate in question.

If you take all the sand out of the box, only the cat poo will remain.

It was more than one corp, and all the flashy reds jumped in from lowsec and warped in to kill the dumbass Vargur pilot, who was bumped out of range of gate guns which would fire on the Gankers immediately negating the necessary damage to be done to kill the Vargur. CONCORD then warps in and fries the Gankers, Faction Navy follows in but are kinda distracted by the large CONCORD response and can't believe they left the donut shop long enough to warp anywhere.

Flashy reds can't just sit in highsec without consequence, your understanding of the mechanic is what allows us to do our jobs more efficiently.

Ahhh, you see that makes much more sense now. An AFK Vargur pilot (obviously active tanked) would likely not have his defenses running. With the abysmal EHP from having no buffer, it's entirely feasible to kill it with enough DPS. The "bumps" would probably have had to happen by a non-flashy red in a bump-stabber or my personal fav, a nano'd Mach. Ah, I remember many a day where I'd spend hours just bumping Orcas, Hulks, and Mackinaws off of their roids and ice in a 0.7 just to **** them off enough to relocate to a neighboring 0.5 belt where they'd get ganked oh so much easier.

Still though, to this very day, I don't understand why someone would be so foolish to AFK in this game. I've never done it, and never will unless it's a cloaky ship...and even then it'll be for a very good reason.

Didn't read it all but the police will only chase 10 targets at a time, so jump 10 flashies in in stupid friggies, warp around and make the cops chase them, everyone else comes in with whatever they feel like and the cops keep chasing the frigs. Concord still does its job but works great against war targets.

disclamer-I haven't bothered doing this in about a year so things may have changed but I don't recall hearing about it if it did.

Today I was fortunate to see a -10 pilot auto-piloting a battle ship out of jita.
As he arrived at 4000 or 5000 from the gate, a single navy ship tried to warp scramble him.

He still arrived at gate and jumped like a boss.

That made me chuckle.
