Drone Interfacing versus Heavy Drone Op

First off, I *love* flying my dominix and hope to be in a carrier one day. My drone skills are pretty good and I just finished up Sentry Drone Interfacing to 5 a few days ago, currently doing Heavy Drone Op to 4 (day left). My question is, between the two in the title, which would be better training for first? both are already at four and both will take the usual 17-20 days. I'm leaning towards the former of the two because it'll benefit all my drones while the latter only benefits Heavies. I'm obviously going to train both, but is the latter more significant, significant enough to go before Drone Interfacing 5?

Train Drone Interfacing 5 first.

This. T2 heavies are nice, but they are nowhere near the step up that T2 sentries are -- plus they require the racial spec skills. DI to 5 should be a top priority if you're in a drone boat and it will benefit almost anything else you fly.

Besides which, heavies are really only useful against a finite number of enemies in PvE: basically just Angels and mercs. In PvP, heavies are niche, but DI always helps.

Drone Interfacing in general was one of the coolest skills I ever discovered. 20% PER LEVEL !!!
It was maybe the first 'long' skill I trained but I think it's seriously important.

I think it rates well ahead of Heavy Drones V. Especially for PVE.

Not only is a Drone interfacing V with it's 20% more drone damage a HUGE upgrade it's also a requirement for a carrier.

To put it into perspective, Drone Interfacing used (afaik) give you control over one additional drone. When they introduced bandwidth and changed how the skill worked to reduce the number of drones the server had to keep track of, they instead gave it a damage bonus that achieved the same overall effect.

After all, it requires Drones V, so when you can train the skill, you can fly 5 drones by default. 20% of those 5 drones is the equivalent of an additional drone worth of damage. At lvl V, you're flying 10 effective drones.

That is why it is awesome.
