How about adding some billboards ( close to stargates and stations ) with actual real life advertisements on it?

Perhaps it could generate a little extra income for CCP?

And don't say this will only annoy you, cause you don't have to look at it, you aren't annoyed with ad-boards during a football match now are you?

please get in the biomass queue.

thanks,
everyone.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

No. No way, no. We don't need RL advertising in Eve.

Eve Online (stylised EVE Online) is a video game by CCP Games. It is a player-driven, persistent-world MMORPG set in a science fiction space setting.

MMORPG stands for Massive Muliplayer Online Role-Playing Game.

Real life advertisement would break the fourth wall and thus ruin the RPG part of MMORPG.

Oh, and it would totally suck.

Unless companies are willing to make advertisements that match the setting of EVE then no.

I would not want to see a modern wal-mart ad. Though if they put in extra effort to show the wal-mart of the future then it would be somewhat feasible.

Watch_ Fred Fred Frederation_ and stop cryptozoologist! Fight against the brutal genocide of fictional creatures across New Eden! Is that a metaphor? Probably not, but the fru-fru- people will sure love it!

I have a better idea - ability for players to hire out billboards and display messages, eg. corp recruitment, 'propaganda', service/product advertising, etc.

There, i've just made it so this thread has some little shred of merit.
