Hi,

im still confused what the more advanced tradeskills actually do, like Daytrading, Procurement, Visibility. If someone know a simple and easy to understand guide or can give some examples i would really appreciate it.

PS: I found 1 picture describing the range changes, but i still don't get it by just looking at this picture.

  • Marketing allows you to set up remote sell orders (eg, you're sat in Jita, you want to set up a sell order in Perimeter)
  • Procurement allows you to set up remote buy orders (eg, you're sat in Jita, you want to set up a buy order in Perimeter)
  • Visibility increases the range you can specify when setting up a remote buy order. (eg, you're sat in Jita, you want to set up a buy order in Perimeter with a range of 5 jumps from Perimeter)
  • Daytrading sets the range at which you can modify your orders. (eg, you're sat in Jita but want to modify an order placed in Perimeter)


The skill descriptions have never been particularly good, you're by no means the first to find them confusing (I count myself amongst those).

Thx for the examples, if i understand this correctly the "range" skills only allow to increase the range within a region? So no skill exists to allow sell/buy/modify of orders in other regions?

Correct.

edit: (for multiple regions, you stick an alt char out there)
edit 2: (or fly there, but that means clicking the undock button)

So what if you want to set up buy/sell orders or modify orders some where other than Perimeter while sat in Jita?

lol, sorry couldn't resist. Great examples though.

It would be sweet if there was a skill that allowed you to view the market in regions other than where you are at. Personally I am usually within 8 jumps of Jita but rarely in the Forge region. I have no skill market alts such as this one placed in all the trade hubs I use but I would like to at least view those markets without loging of and back into my market alts.

But then again if it was that easy to compare different region prices the variations would probably disappear.
