ok i went through this thread
https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=97175&find=unread

and decided to put aside my tengu (cuz face it doing the same thing over and over gets old) and try this out but this lead to a series of questions

my current fit is this
navy scor

highs :7x t2 cruise launcher
mids: Gist A-type XL booster, 4x t2 hardeners, 2x t2 boost amps, 1x t2 painter
low: 3x BCU 1x cap flux coil
rigs: 3x ccc rig

should the rigs be swapped for rigor, and the painter for a recharger?
or should i sell this thing off and get a golem given its better with painters?
but even if i did get the golem would i need the rigor rigs instead of or with the painter

i should also note that i have HG crystal set so im not that worried about the tank itself but more for DPS efficiency

any and all input is appreciated

Would be nice to know, what you are going to to with it.

On the other hand, why switch from a Tengu to a Navy Scorp? The Tengu can make up to 850 DPS with imps and all V, whilst maintaining a powerful tank, with a Weaponsig of 125m.

You will get 600 Missile DPS with T2 Missiles for BS at 300m explo radius and 100 explo velocity. Also your Droneskills should be very good, or it will take forever to kill 3-4 Elite-Frigs.

This is ok for missions, example is a Guristas Fit, BUT -
I had some friends switch from N-Scorp to Tengu and they never used the Scorp again... If you don't fly in Caldari Space, use a Navy Raven.

Edit: Would be nice to see your tengu fit...

Overtanked! A small DS Booster and a T2 fit can tank Most missions except some very hard ones. Use Missile Implants and a Bayloading Acc II rig + 2 Flares on it. Posted this Fit in an other Thread:

Tanks everything, if you kill the webber frigs first and orbit a can or anything else. With 5% imps, you get around 850 DPS.

i tend to overtank on purpose. was some very hard learned lesson in my eve early days

hence the reason why i have a harder time with dps.

When it comes time to get a Golem you're almost certainly going to want a Torp fit, there are very few situations where it (at least with access to Javelin Torps) is outperformed in PvE by a cruise fit. For the Golem therefore rigors will be completely pointless (you'll want 2 T2 Range rigs ideally) and Target Painters (plural) will be your priority.
