Yeah in the end I decided against it, brilliant looking ship but ultimately not so much better looking than navy version to justify the billion+ investment which, to be perfectly honest, I would far rather invest in other financially ludicrous items (dairy products). A battleship is insignificant next to the power of shiny teeth.

Going to stick with the navy armageddon until ccp hopefully release this custom colour thingamajig so I can ditch the unremittingly sickening paladin colour scheme.

It's not like the navy geddon is a bad ship. Pretty much all empire faction tier 1 BS are great (NavDomi kind of loses out here)

Having myself never flown one may I ask why you feel that way about the navy Domi?

The other tier 1 navBS gain really significant advantages. The NavGeddon gets an extra low, an extra mid (that's really important, going from 3 to 4 mids), an extra 25m^3 drone space so it can pack a full set of heavy, med and light drones, and most importantly of all, more PG/CPU. The Domi gets... an extra mid. Nice, I guess, but it's not in the same league as the NavGeddon or NavPhoon.

I think the biggest setback is the 350 calibration compared to 400 of the vanilla Domi, which prevents it from using 2 Sentry rigs.

It does make a better neut Domi, tho. 38K more EHP, web, full T2 fit without fitting implants, med ECM drones instead of lights... not huge improvements, but anyway.
