So moments ago I was doing hisec exploration when I warped in on a Drake who had beat me to a Gurista anomaly

Knowing I had 2 other corp mates in system and ready to rock, I targeted him and stole a wreck. He took the bait and fired on me

I quickly tackled him and got stuck in, but this is where I get a little confused

My corp mates warped in to help, expecting to see the drake who fired upon me flashy red, but no such thing. He was neutral white, and any attempts to assist me in his destruction prompted a warning from CONCORD

No harm done, really. I finished him off just fine, but can someone please explain to us PvP noobs why my corp mates, in my fleet, were unable to assist me in combat? Our current understanding of the rules says he should have been legal for anyone in my fleet to fire upon.

Person A steals from Corp B's can.
Person A goes red to everyone in Corp B.
Anyone from Corp B can shoot at Person A now that he is red to them.
The only people Person A can shoot at are people who shoot him for stealing the wreck.
The only way other people in Corp A can get involved is if they steal from Corp B's wrecks AND someone from Corp B shoots them for it.

Has that changed? Because I clearly remember when I was a fledgling pilot who didn't know any better falling for the can stealing trick. It was a little frigate and I was in my BC, and yet all his friends warped in and raped me after I shot the frig.

doesn't work that way. the person who steals is at the disadvantage number wise, unless your corps get to sit there and RR. but they would become red to the corp as well.
