Insurance firm based in Jita.

We currently provide insurance for the upcoming Burn Jita event. After hearing Goonswarm's promise to destroy Jita, we have felt it necessary to provide insurance for Jita pilots. Defy the Goonswarm pilots during Burn Jita, with the knowledge that your freighter (and loot) is insured. Jita will continue to function on April 28th, and we will make sure that the enemy doesn't win.

Below are our current insurance policies.


-Burn Jita Basic Freighter Insurance:
Provides full insurance coverage for the cost of your freighter.
Cost: 200,000,000 isk. Payout: New freighter (same type). If you prefer isk, payout will be 15% under current buy order price.


-Burn Jita FULL Freighter Insurance:
Provides FULL coverage for the cost of your freighter, plus loot coverage up to a certain amount.
Cost: 500,000,000 isk. Payout: New freighter (same type) PLUS up to 2,100,000,000 isk in loot coverage.

If you are satisfied with our service after Burn Jita, you can renew your insurance policy on a monthly basis. The monthly cost will be the same as the Burn Jita cost (there is less risk of loss after Burn Jita). We also will offer discounts for buying multiple months of coverage.

How To Apply:

Send the appropriate amount of isk for your desired policy, along with an EVEmail stating so, to Jita Insurance Ltd. In the EVEmail, include which policy it is that you desire, your type of freighter that you wish to insure, and the name of the player who referred you to us.
Once your account has been set up, we will send you a confirmation EVEmail.

Players will receive 10,000,000 isk in a "referral bonus" for referring other players to our corporation, resulting in the purchase of an insurance policy.

Receiving Payout:
If your freighter is destroyed during Burn Jita, you must send a payout request to Jita Insurance Ltd. In the EVEmail, provide a link to the killmail. Killmails MUST be API verified. Non-API verified killmails will not recieve the payout.



NOTE: Policies will ONLY cover losses that occur during Burn Jita. Any claims that are not a direct result of a Burn Jita gank will NOT be honoured. If you are found to have staged the freighter loss, then you will have forfeited your insurance. No payout will be made by JI Ltd.

Goon profiting from their upcoming biggest troll ever when nothing happens or scam?

If legit, cool, seems like a good idea, its a shame that there isnt a game mechanic to support it properly.

It is a shame that there isn't anything that helps legitimate businesses start up in EVE. The only assurance there seems to be is when a service becomes so big, it is too profitable to mess with, like SOMER or Red Frog. I just hope that the service that we are offering will be good enough to overcome the lack of game mechanic to help us. If this works, and people like it, I'll look into continuing this service.

Change made to where your payout will be a replacement freighter. If you would rather have isk, you will receive 15% under current buy order price.

Any thoughts/input would be greatly appreciated.
