I get why they might put the EVE University there for PR reasons and player retention, but can asomeone clarify the reasoning for linking Goonwaffe and the bio of a currently banned and burned-at-the-stake-CSM Chariman? Although this may seem like a troll post, I am actually sincerely asking. Below them is a group called "Rekall", which I have never heard of. Are they significant to the game some how? That link seems to bring me to a character named CIALIS which to me looks like a derivative of the medication "Cailais" used to correct erectile dysfunction.


In his bio are a series of links...
One of them takes me through several redirects only to lead to some site in Chinese text (scans computer for viruses)

OK..it took me some time, but I think I figured out what OP is talking about. It is about the quicklinks that Google shows directly beneath the "Eve Gate" header. It looks like this :

EVE online / EVE Gate

Eve online / EVE Gate_______ EVE University
About EVE Gate____________GoonWaffe
Rekall Incorporated_________ Aperture Harmonics

Basically, our OP is asking why Google is offering those links and is sensing some kind of conspiracy here.

Ironically, you bunch of idiots are the ones expecting a conspiracy when none was mentioned. So much so that you cannot fathom that I am really asking what the purpose of this new "forum feature" is? Why are random alliances being mentioned along side CCP's official site?


I was under the impression that it was only the EVE University and RvB, for the sake of their supposed "noob" retention benefits.

You are asking here on the Eve-O forum why Google sorts its the results the way it does.
You should ask the people who run Google, not us.
